Just about to drive to Manchester and so any links would be appreciated - better than Ken Bruce!

The Exeter fella sounded very confident. No weaknesses! Very happy with the new signings. Aitchison Rankine Trevitt etc. Plus they still have Nombe.

Will be interesting to see how we manage this one, Burton and Derby both allowed us to dictate in the first half but Exeter will likely come out all guns blazing.

Different challenge.

This what interests me. Both games have been a very similar pattern. I'm interested in how Critch reacts if he has to change things to get back into a game or what his instincts are if it's tight in the last 15 mins. Will he be proactive and aggressive or cautious?

Also, how funny was it that he DID play Connolly at wing back after all? Not only wing back, but LWB 🤣

It will be a different game for sure.

Question: What is Connolly’s best position?

I want him on the pitch but don’t know where exactly to put him since our midfield is already strong. LWB certainly would not have occurred to me but, what do I know!

It was absolutely hilarious. 😐😆

At this stage of the season its so difficult to know how the next game will pan out. Two wins and you get all smug and talking about pissing the league and suddenly youre 2-0 down after 20 minutes on the south Devon coast. Hotbed of football. Theyve got a rock hard Scottish manager.

I felt the team v Derby was probably more balanced than the Burton game XI. Kenny and Matty V were composed, the wing backs were actual wing backs, and Casey did none of the Marv jitters. Sonny played better. The Exeter chap on the pod reckons they have an attacking threat on the wings so our wing back selection is important. I'm sure we will all be tearing our hair out at 2pm tomorrow.

When he played 4 he always used to do one sitting full back and one aggressive one.

It's a hard question. The best and worst he's played is central midfield. He was really good in the reductive meat grinder midfield that Critch went for in the championship. He's also looked way short technically when played in midfield at other times.

He's steady at full back without being particularly notable.

Centre back, I'm not convinced by him though like Hubby I think he could work in a five cos he should be able to step out and/or cover full back.

One of a back 3. On the right probably.

The way the Exeter lad was talking you’d think he supported Man City. Really hope we bring him crashing back down to earth tomorrow 😂
It’s weird, the thing I thought most is, considering he works for Exeter he was incredible bias and didn’t know too much of our squad. A well spoken guest who gave us good insight into Exeter, just admired his confidence 😂.

Absolutely, he spoke well it’s always good to get an insight into the opposition. Expecting a tough game, will be tough to break down a team with no weaknesses, we’ll be relying on a bit of luck 😂

Dare I say the podcast is now better than the Seasiders Podcast. Just feels far better informed and analytical without some of the moaning old tarts (not including TAM and a couple of others). Soon as they started putting on Raggy I gave up.

Agree - first couple of episodes were a bit hard going but an excellent listen 🙌

Demi went off injured after 16 mins last Saturday. I hope it's minor, but he's as brittle as they come unfortunately.

Remember Demi first half against Stoke where he was unplayable, other than that he was at best anonymous
My memory of him was that he was shocking at left back but kept having good cameos further up the pitch from the bench but when started he often looked, as you say, anonymous.

Was surprised the Exeter lad eulogized him to the extent he did cos for me he was always in that 'ok-ish, might come good, but hasn't really done owt' category.

Wasn't surprised that yesterday was a different sort of game to Burton and Derby, who both allowed us to play stress free football for 45 minutes. Exeter weren't going to do that and our new midfield was likely to be under a lot more pressure.

Three clean sheets is a brilliant start to the season, very Critch, and a good sign. There's a lot of work to do in terms of determining who plays in the wing back positions, who joins Norburn in midfield, and who partners Lavery up front.
