The boys must have shown good potential (as per the press release) or we wouldn't offer them contracts - lots of players are cast away at this stage. It's now up to them to push on & not fall by the wayside like many others do.

Johnson Opawole:
I think Ciaran Donnelly has taken the words out of my mouth.
"Johnson has come on very strong in the 2nd half of the season." His potential was obviously identified early on because he signed his pro-contract quite sometime ago. He was even included on the EFL list of contracted players at the end of the January transfer window. For some reason BFC has chosen not to share that information with us until now.
As well as playing for the u18s he's getting regular game time for the Development Squad.
I expect he'll get a "youth loan" move next season.
Looking a great prospect.
Harvey Bardsley:
Another one that's come on leaps and bounds since he joined us. I recall his debut where he looked as nervous as hell but he's developing nicely and will probably be the mainstay of the Development Squad next season. I'm puzzled by the reference to him never being at an Academy (not disputing it) because he has played for Bolton's Academy.
Dannen Francis:
A tricky winger who was on fire at the start of the season. Very confident on the ball and always looking to take players on, get to the dead ball line and create opportuinties for others whilst also being very capable of scoring himself. He's also been a regular for the Development Squad.

I'm expecting a couple more announcements soon.
