If it gets the Government to reinstate home insulation grants then it works, massively. Also bear in mind most places where property has poor insulation are often lived in by some of the poorest in society, such as South Shore or Terraces in the North East.

Mine works the opposite way, it takes ages to warm up in the summer.
 
I do have respect for Insulate Britain in that they are highlighting the real concern about climate change . We are doing serious damage to this precious planet and need to take appropriate action. In their direct actions though i do not believe they are taking responsibility for the safety of others including their own activists. This is both unacceptable and irresponsible and plays directly into the hands of those who would wish to introduce laws that would further curb the rights to protest. Saddened to see yesterday on itv both the IB representative making an idiot of himself but also witnessing both presenters and the other guest collectively shouting him down and sneering at him in particular that clown Madeley-trash journalism. Much prefer the approach of activists such as Greta Thunberg, she really is a star who is making an impact.
 
Several of the Insulate Britain road protestors.have been jailed today BBC News reporting. Sentences range from 6 to 3 months. Apparently they were defiant as they were led from the dock shouting that they would be back protesting. and were unstoppable.

Well if that’s the case they will be back inside sharpish on a longer stretch.

Maybe if there was more emphasis on how we are destroying and poisoning our local environments including ourselves instead of concentrating on CC people would be more receptive to the overall dangers?
