Interesting comment

I recently had to have some physiotherapy and the physiotherapist noticed my BFC sweatshirt. She said she used to work or BFC under OO and then SS. Without any prompting she said it was strange working for OO. People were just left to get on with things but all finacial transactions had to be done in cash. She said that when SS took over everything was cut to the bone. Obviously no great secrets revealed with those comments though I was a little surprised at the cut to the bone bit. I thought it would have been the other way round.

Did he not mean Owen had cut everything to the bone which was how it was when SS received it?

I know a sports therapist who also said they got rid of all the sports therapists when Sadler came in. They may have replaced them, but why get rid of them in the first place?

In the case of both Stewart and Gabriel, missing large sections of the last two seasons but working on their property and clothes brands.
I would move both of them on at the end of the season, only in football is this allowed.

Is it possible memories are blurred between the final days of OO, the interim period of the CAR who inherited just 4 non-playing members of staff from the O’s wrecking final week, and the first days of a rebuild?

Don't talk nonsense millions of people have second jobs or businesses

Yes, but would you employ someone in your business on full pay, if they were off sick while they were working growing their business?

I know I wouldn't, it would encourage everybody else that I employed to do the same.

By "full pay" I assume you mean basic wage. Most of a footballer's money comes from appearances and performance bonuses, which they obviously don't get when injured.

Football is very different from 'normal' work. Being off sick normally means you can't work at all, so not really able to work on a second job either. However an injured footballer isn't ill, just not fit enough to undertake professional sport which is a very different matter. There's no comparison.

Football’s a unique (ish) business in that respect. It’s expected you will probably get injured at some point, purely from carrying out the duties you are employed for. It’s only fair to get full pay until your fit to work again, before you put yourself at risk of injury yet again.
Add to that, that your ‘side’ business can be carried out without risk of any injury that may impact your employer.
I can’t see a problem, really

Interesting on the official site at the moment, there is no mention of who our physio is? Do we have one in house? Not laying the blame at their door but in terms of injuries/medicals it's not been their finest season!
