In the spirit of would you buy a house for 100k...let's pool the financial aptitude of the forum. What would you do if you had a spare:

1k invest in fine wine
10k. All inclusive holiday in Gran Canaria
100k give some to my family and all inclusive holiday in the Caribbean
250k give some to my family, all inclusive holiday in Oman, chuck the rest in an ISA
1,OO0,000K Emigrate to Gran Canaria. Smile
 
£1k......A fun day out at Selfridges in the Trafford centre updating my wardrobe and fragrance collection.
£10k....Dubai or New York for 2 weeks of living the vida loca and eating steaks
£100k.....£30k in Premium bonds, £70k on a static caravan in the lakes to rent out (and to use it for a weekend getaway)
£250k.....Open trendy craft brew bar/ Pizza parlour in Blackpool...run it for 12months and the sell it for £500k
£1,000,000...Buy 4 £200k (3 bed, semi detached) properties and rent for £1,000 - £1,200p.m. Can happily retire
