Is Critch 2.0 a bit arrogant?

There is something about this latest incarnation of Critchley I don’t like. When he was first hear I was always impressed with the way he came across, the way he interviewed and even his relationship with his assistants.

To me, he has taken up some of the traits of a dictator. He’s never wrong, never takes some of the blame, I don’t see what Pinky and Perky his assistants do and he seems to have filled his squad with yes men. There is a real soft underbelly in the squad and I wonder how much he has created that?

Have thought this most of the season in fact even when he came back I found his interviews very disingenuous and he was almost loathed to apologise for leaving us (which I had no problems with him leaving but didn’t feel he explained himself well).

This is before we come on to the football!

I genuinely think he chose today's team just to piss the fans off and to try and prove a warped point - backfired badly and he must know now he won't get the fans back. The fact he left the way he did, we have given him over 50 matches to prove he's the right man and quite simply he's not. Please never respond to a fist pump again if he stays.

Arrogance is fine if you're winning or at the very least performing and there lies the problem.

I think he found out that you can be financially successful - through compensatory pay-offs for being unsuccessful - that he didn’t really need to try that hard any more….

Either that, or he was just in the right place at the right time, the first time around.

He is, but I’m not sure why because he’s not backing it up.’

Football is a results business of course, but first and foremost it is an entertainment business or it is nothing.
A neutral outsider looking in would probably think eighth or ninth place is not too bad a consolidation after last season, and that is probably just about fair comment.
In terms of entertainment? Not so much!
Not sure where we go from here?

He really has nothing to be arogant about. He does come across as thinking he is better than he actually is though. He should never have been given another chance with Blackpool FC and really needs to do the right thing and quit.

Watching Southampton dominate Ipswich. There are very impressive.
There first team coach is Colin Calderwood who we could have done with this season.
The football served up this year second time around has been very poor to watch and to stomach.

Southampton play a very possession heavy type of football. Their manager did the same at Swansea.

But in December the manager decided to bring in “a fresh pair of eyes to see if there is anything we should be doing differently”

So in comes Calderwood.

Meanwhile the two stooges stand there and tell Critchley exactly what he wants to hear…

I agree & it’s both, obviously he would have preferred to be successful to build up his profile for when he decides to bugger off again for a higher wage at a bigger club than us, if in the unlikely event that SS sacks him I’m really not sure what the future holds for him, maybe league two with a decent budget

He’s lost all semblance of humility. He copes with failure by brazening it out. Belligerent.

It’s not a word I’d use to describe him to be honest. I don’t think the attacks on character are fair. We can disagree with his style of play or his decisions and still maintain a bit of class.
