Is it harder to negotiate a contract buyout with a team in administration?

Not sure if this has come up, but could the delay over Rosenior simply be a function of who Sadler has to negotiate with right now? Derby are in disarray, and he's got to get this deal done with a team of administrators. I don't know any of the legal details, but it seems administrators could face legal constraints not faced by a club that is operating normally, such as a duty to formally justify major financial decisions in a way that shows they meet a certain set of guidelines.

This is me trying to be optimistic, of course. Is there precedent for how this kind of transaction typically gets done when the selling team is being run by administrators?

In some ways it could make the process more simple as the true valuation of the deal has to be met amd justified. The buying party face less risk of being 'ripped off' so to speak .

What would you have done in these circumstances, back in your day…?

Always enjoyed the cut of your jib Bfcx3. If it was me I would deal with the parties concerned in an appropriate manner until such time as a deal is agreed or not. Despite opinion to the contrary, most football club owners amd CEO's are reasonable amd fair people 👍🏻

Good Answer, although you might as well have said it in Italian tbh. Almost as vague as that David Nixon fella.

Who told you that David?

If they interviewed Appleton yesterday, how can they be negotiating Roseniors compensation, it doesn’t make sense. We simply don’t know what’s true or not, but I do hope the club make an announcement soon to put an end to all the speculation and put us out of our misery.
