Is it now OK to say you went on Soccer AM with the clown?

Well is it? I always thought at the time that the level of worshipping towards him on the show was nauseating. He had broken promise after promise after promise with the stadium and training ground and yet here was a group of people crowning him a king. 🤮

Sorry not seen Soccer AM for at least 10 years, Tim Lovejoy still at the helm when I last viewed, so don’t know who or what you are referring to? Keen to know though!

I can't remember how long ago it was. Maybe 15 years? He was on there with 'Blackpool fans' who as Alf said were most probably his mates. I remember Helen trying to get him to commit to offering a 2 million quid transfer budget for the manager. He squirmed, stuttered and spluttered like he always does.

From BisphamSeasider on an old forum:

On the morning of the Watford game last Saturday, a group of Blackpool fans appeared on Sky Sports weekly show Soccer AM. Each week they have fans from one club on there, sitting in the "Luther Blisset Stand"! And when it was Blackpool's turn, they included for the first time on the programme, a club chairman as Karl Oyston joined the seven fans. All decked out in full BFC kit, quite why he agreed to appear on the show I don't know but he did and endured a morning of mocking and of being what he described as getting stitched up.

Forced to wear a crown for most of the show, presenter Helen Chamberlain asked him over and over (and over and over) how much money he would give Simon Grayson to spend in the January transfer window. After much pushing the figure of ÂŁ2m was suggested by one fan to which he eventually said "OK I'll talk to Simon about it" and "yes I'll think about it" while sweating and looking very awkward. Somehow I doubt Grayson will see anything like ÂŁ2m, more like ÂŁ1.50!!

I remember it well, I don't know who he was with but NO!
It's not ok, never forgive, never forget!
Those people fully knew what they were doing and the lines were already drawn.

They all later sat with the away fans behind the goal at Watford, I'm guessing they were his pals and couldn't all go in the board room.

What a match though!
One of the greatest with a last minute Alan Gow winner.

PS never saw it in soccer AM as I was travelling but did see the highlights later
