And that's the end of that
He was 17, how old was Ollie Robinson ? Plenty on here were right behind his ban.It won't overshadow it at all, people realise it's a non story from when someone was 15, the only people who take 15 year old's opinions seriously are other 15 year olds.
I doubt there were that many, what are we talking 3 or 4.He was 17, how old was Ollie Robinson ? Plenty on here were right behind his ban.
1 is too many, but i would say at least 8-10 of the usual suspects argued for the BanI doubt there were that many, what are we talking 3 or 4.
People have to be allowed to learn by their mistakes, teenagers in particular. To punish the man for spouting stupid opinions in their youth seems too much.1 is too many, but i would say at least 8-10 of the usual suspects argued for the Ban
Correct, now move on, lets not all get carried away in another woke media attack.Fair play to Marv - takes a real man to admit his mistakes
I've not seen it reported anywhere?Correct, now move on, lets not all get carried away in another woke media attack.
When Elon Musk buys them out all restrictions currently in place will be lifted. What a joy that will be...Doubt it, it's already been buried by thousands of hateful comments from mainly the middle east (or at least people proporting to be from the middle east). The real story should be how twitter allows such rampant homophobia in real time to an announcement.
Well, actually the real story should be about Jake's bravery but you get what I mean.
it’s in the Sun and the Times today.I've not seen it reported anywhere?
Nothing to do with woke then, just shit stirring.it’s in the Sun and the Times today.
Generally what the woke love to doNothing to do with woke then, just shit stirring.
Culture wars, both sides do it, probably the only thing Johnsons government is good at.Generally what the woke love to do
No, I'm talking about hypocrisy. If you were on here shouting for Robinson to be banned or agreed with it then the same rules apply for Marv. But they wont. Its just rank Hypocrisy and it pisses me off. For the record Marv has apologised and that's the end of it for me.Culture wars, both sides do it, probably the only thing Johnsons government is good at.
Again the hypocrisy comes from both sides but I agree with you in principle. No, I'm talking about hypocrisy. That would be ridiculous!I would be shocked if the appology is the end of it. He'll end up with a fine and a ban no doubt.
No need to trawl through any social media accounts. A brief trawl through the Jake Daniels thread on here will have given the hacks their cue.On the BBC football page this morning. I wonder how this has been made public, has someone trawled through the entire Blackpool squads social media accounts to dig this out?
I know it doesn't make it right but, Jesus wept, I'm glad social media wasn't around when I was a yoof. Marv has apologised for remarks he made 10 years ago, hope that's the end of it.
I agree but there is a precedent surely? That would be ridiculous!
Hope not!!I agree but there is a precedent surely?
We all live and learn sure most people on here of a certain age used to do that chant when the opposing keeper took a goal kick.
I did the chant I presume you are referring to though I certainly didn’t have any homophobic context in mind.
As far as I’m concerned it was simply a topical chant of its day.
No mate, I don’t remember that one tbh…BFCx3 did you not join in the...
"Don't bend down, when the keeper's around"...chant?
Carke-Harris got a 4 game ban and £5,000 fine. I think Dion Charles got sent on an educational course.Hope not!!
It'll be a case of the football authorities being seen to have done something. He has explained himself, apologised and ten years have passed. That should be enough!Carke-Harris got a 4 game ban and £5,000 fine. I think Dion Charles got sent on an educational course.

Search Marvin Ekpiteta in Google....I've not seen it reported anywhere?
But people aren't going to do that, they'll click the normal news sites and there's nowt about it on them.Search Marvin Ekpiteta in Google....
I agree. As teanagers we say lots of things that we now regret and our views change a lot. When I was in my teans I enjoyed watching 'Love Thy Neighbour' on TV and 'Alf Garnet' but times and views change. I don't see what Marvin posted as a 17 year old means he holds those same views, it would be a bit different if he had posted it this time last year.He has clearly said he doesn‘t think like that now…..end of story as far as Im concerned
No one really reads them anymore though.it’s in the Sun and the Times today.
I was just pointing to the articles. But people aren't going to do that, they'll click the normal news sites and there's nowt about it on them.
So in answer to the OP, no.
Why are there two sides? Do people have just the one view and stay with it whether they actually agree with it or not, just because it's 'their side'?Again the hypocrisy comes from both sides but I agree with you in principle.
People need to start talking to each other instead of shouting. There is a wide range of views on every subject and we have to accept that we don't all agree on everything.
Here we go, the pantomime begins....FA investigating Blackpool's Marvin Ekpiteta after historical tweets emerged
The Seasiders central defender apologised for the comments he made as a 17-year-oldt.co
I'm with you on that one, I listen to things, read things and come to my own conclusions but the loudest and most unswerving opinions come from either end of the spectrum. Why are there two sides? Do people have just the one view and stay with it whether they actually agree with it or not, just because it's 'their side'?
I'd prefer to weigh up the merits of each topic and give an opinion.
