Is Matty on his way out

Think he is worth more than 200kgbp,but the fact he got no game time yesterday and was not reported as injured suggests he will be moving on.
We are supposed to be offering a lot more for for untested L1 players

It isn't just about the money, it's about the player as well. If Matty doesn't feel like he'll be a starter or fancies a move, the club need to listen to offers. A lot of players will see what is going on at Wrexham and fancy a move, as much as I'd love them to struggle next season, I think they'll romp that league.

I think Wrexham will struggle with the L2 salary cap, which wasn't something they needed to worry about in NL, and their squad looks full already, so IMO talk of Virtue going there is misguided.

I'm on holiday at the moment with a Wrektum fan and was asking him about all sorts of things. The last time I visited was May '97 when we needed to win and Crewe lose on the last day of the season. We went 1 up, then got Tony Ellis sent off, eventually losing 2-1. Crewe won too if I remember. Their ground was in a bad way. The stand on the side of the ground was derelict and has remained that way up until now!

He said they are rebuilding it but it will "only add" another 5,000 to their capacity which will then be bigger than our ground. And I'm imagining they will fill it!

Bloomfield Road holds more than 15000 so it won’t
Edit to add :it will actually be quite close some reports saying it will take Wrexham’s capacity close to 16000

I'm unsure where we are with salary caps, I thought they were scrubbed a couple of years ago, or at least replaced with an income generated percentage, that being the case they'll have no issues as their turnover is massive in comparison to other L2 (and most L1) clubs.

There is no salary cap in EFL 2.

SCMP applies but if Wrexham look like breaching the limit they can get around it by injection of equity or donations from the owners (which isn't allowed in FFP).

And Bloomfield Road may drop by 5,000 whilst the new stand (whenever it may be) is being rebuilt. 🤷

It depends where you look. They've had over 10,000 crowds last season.
