The arrests in Grange over Sands must literally be the most exciting thing to ever happen there.

Well there is also The Bore.

Quite exciting when you’re 11 and fishing thereabouts. The siren goes off at the same time as your line gets snagged.

But not as exciting as illicit fire arms deals I grant you.

Tbh, Kendal has always had its rougher side. I lived there briefly in the early 90s and most of the pubs were no go areas on a Friday or Saturday night (unless you enjoy being involved in a fight)... It's not "proper Lakes" and is certainly not the quaint Lake District town it's portrayed as.
A bit like Blackpool...dig beneath the surface and you'll find all sorts going on
