Is the Championship our natural level?

Can we start there for a period of time?
Can we keep on improving?
Can we have fans back properly in time for kick off
Can we have a giant party because Blackpool are Back?

what a day! Hope we can stick around for a good while now we’re are back up again

The great thing about this play-off victory is that we now have an owner who is committed to putting the right foundations in place. With some shrewd investment and recruitment there is no reason why we can't build on this success. It would be fantastic to get Ballard, Simms, Gabriel and a certain KDH back for next season.

Definitely we more than held our own in the Championship when we were a regular fixture bar that horrendous 14/15 relegation season.

But this time we are back as a proper club with a proper owner and a gem of a gaffer with a back room team behind him who know what they are doing and a squad with an unbelievable spirit which will only be improved.

I’d say so. Chatting on the train to High Wycombe and that was general consensus.

Even met a nice mushy couple from Lytham who said they loved Sadler. I was so elated I was even courteous to them 😁

When I started watching Blackpool in the early 70s we were an established 2nd Divison side (championship) who were always pushing for promotion. Be glad to be that again 👍
Agree.
A perennially top 10 Championship outfit with an occasional flirtation with playoffs is a realistic target. Anything more would be a bonus.
Next season I believe is not only about consolidation, but setting out our intentions to be one of the better second-tier clubs

I’d give anything to have at least 3/4 seasons at Championship level and build those foundations to prevent us having to visit Wycombe, MK Dons and even Fleetwood again, something I thought we were done with last time we were promoted at this level in 2007.

It’s a great league to be in, loads of clubs in North to visit again, couple of spicy Derbies to savour, higher profile and only a step away from the big boys. Consolidate first and foremost, then lets see where the Team, Manager and an ambitious Chairman takes us.

You maybe forget that we only just about scraped in that first season under Larry - actually defeat to Leicester on the opening day and it would have been a different story. We have to be looking at 12/13 wins and a good amount of draws to start off with.

It's the best league in this country for me. The fact you can get promoted or relegated, more unpredictability than the league above but still with a high enough quality of players where you can see a big difference from the average pro footballer from the lower leagues.

I think we’re naturally a top half Championship side.
I base that on absolutely nothing in particular other than what my gut instinct has been telling me for the past 2 or so decades.
I think we’ll be aiming for mid table at least 👍
And why not.

I've always felt the second tier is right for us, based on the size of the fan base and history etc. We should be able to compete and more than hold our own in that division, and be a top half team. I think a lot of it comes from us being at that level when I first started supporting in 1974 so it's always felt the right place. Whilst the prem season was great as a one-off, I think I prefer the championship. Can't see the fun of being like Brighton or Burnley and always battling just to stay up.

Your natural level is the one you earn.
Plenty of clubs think they have a 'natural position' e.g. Sunderland, but you have to work to get it, and work to keep it.
But our club, our owner, our manager, players and fans are definitely able to make it our home.

I remember reading our all time points puts us in the Championship, our all time average attendance places us in the Championship.

I'd say we aren't out of place in the 2nd tier.
