Is this confirmation that Dougall is off?

For transparency, I may well have put 2 & 2 together here and got 12.

But, I'm sure many have noticed, Kenny has been absent for the past 3 games, with Critch saying he was being rested. However, him being absent again today clearly shows that there is more to it.

My missus watches Kenny's missus YouTube every now and then so I asked her if they were still here given the rumours about Kenny being sold internationally.

Firstly, she was supposed to be doing something called 'VLOGmas' which I'm informed is daily uploads before Christmas however she stopped doing these about 6 days ago. Her last video, Kenny doesn't appear in at all and there was a comment on the video that reads "I really hope you and Kenny can stay in your beautiful Victorian home (you told earlier that it might be your last Christmas there and that considering the news you can't share with us yet I think I know what that means..). Hope you're getting through it together!"

Could be nothing and maybe there is another reason but all seems a bit fishy with the other rumours. I personally will be pretty annoyed if we have indeed sold a very much in-form Kenny.

What’s the point in being angry, especially when we know naff all at the moment.
Don’t forget it takes 2 to tango so maybe, if Kenny is leaving then he has reasons for that.
However, IF as someone mentioned, Kenny has been told or he suspects he will be playing second fiddle to Norburn and that is the reason for him going then I would be annoyed because (IMO) Kennedy is far better suited to that role and Norburn is a liability.

I didn't say I was angry, I said I would be if we have decided to sell him. I agree with you that Dougall has been better than Norburn. Will see how Norburn looks when he's had a few games back from his injury.

"Hope you're getting through it together" isn't the sort of thing you say about a straight forward transfer to another club!

I'll be annoyed if...... all sorts of things!

It may simply be that he hasnt been willing to sign a new contract and sometimes that can affect a managers willingness to select a player. Hes out of contract at the end of the season and may be weighing up his options.
 
Apologies if I’m being naive here, but if Kenny’s on his way, why not just say so. Equally all this ‘undisclosed fee’ bollox….

I’m sure any with a vested i.e. professional interest could easily find out what’s afoot - if anything. It’s L1football, not sodding MI5! 🙄

Because he thought it would be sorted ASAP and wanted to give him privacy? Now that it's not been sorted as quickly as he wanted it too, he's now had to say. Pure speculation on my part just like everyone else on here.

Doubt it he’s hardly a name is he. Doesn’t even get in the Australia squad.
Suspect he’s going home.
 
He was poor last year but he’s been exceptional this season. There’s no way our defence gets exposed at Cambridge the way it did if he plays. Hopefully he’ll be back soon. Our defence looks shakey without him
 
I'd like him to stay as he has been good this season but equally if he's wanting to go then I'd prefer he go now and we get a bit of dosh. Good player but hardly irreplaceable.
Just to add, these rumours may very well be absolute tosh too.

I agree with this but I don’t get why we just don’t act like grown adults and say so.
 
Assuming he’s currently on a good championship wage less any penalty clause on relegation he will be well paid in L1 terms.
Championship would be signing a player who is solid but not spectacular in that division on his previous 2 seasons so not exactly a glamour signing that the bigger clubs would want (he’s 30 too)

None of the European leagues pay anywhere near his wages barring the main ones and in their top league so we can rule that out. Australia and Thailand pay pittance so can’t see that as an option either.

If he’s pulled off a deal in Saudi or USA then when would he have had time to negotiate that via agent in the past few weeks? Plus again, to get the wages he’d expect he’d have to attract one of the bigger well funded ‘franchises’ and is he really a draw for them?

We love the King but I’m not sure how this is the end?
 
He is just a guy working. So if you have problems do you say they are supposed to announce it at your work. Just get on with life and respect, we all have problems or issues to deal with.
