Is this the East Stand?

I came across this photo on Quora, it was in a list of comically badly designed buildings/roads.

Immediately thought it might be the East Stand. Wouldn't be surprising given how our owners did things at the time.

Can anyone confirm?

I think this was taken just before the first home game in the prem... it was resolved by moving the seats either side of each post and the middle and the middle one?

Just the fact that the contractor fitted that seat and didn’t question it says all you need to know about some of the fuckwits that exist out there…..

Tbf the seats aren’t installed individually but in blocks of 3/4. I imagine the intention was those seats either a) wouldn’t be sold (can’t imagine the Oystons even considered that option) or b) would have had the ‘seat’ removed or secured by the stadium maintenance team so it was obviously not in use (again not even sure there was a maintenance team under the previous regime!).
