It's not a 'positive' at all

I don't care if it gives Mick more time with his squad. Would have been a packed out stadium with a massive feel good factor and I'm 99% sure we would've won. Instead it'll be a midweek fixture that we'll probably lose as per.
Rubbish - get yer tin hat on - cant help the elements can we?
We batter Soton next week and turn into an all footie Rugby League fighting unit.
£15 tickets next week - get behind the team not yer duvet's !

Got to agree and if results go against us, a gap will open up and build more pressure.

Part of the stadium / surface gets no sunshine, so we will always have problems with frost or grass growth. Not much we can do in terms of getting in sunlight, so we’ve got to do something more to ensure that part of the pitch remains playable.

“Packed Stadium”…. Seriously Don’t make me ** laugh… We couldn’t pack a stadium if it was made out of a sardine tin 😂

We were ill prepared to go into such a crucial fixture… simple as.

And it could equally work against us if today went tits up and we lose the Feel Good Factor, before Mick has had a chance to get going.

We have light's to help the grass grow.

I disagree, I think it's a positive. Mick now has two weeks to work with the players before Boro away. He can use the cup game as a warm up, and may also get a couple in that strengthen where needed. After all the negativity towards Appleton over the last few weeks, which I contributed to, it's now time to get right behind the lads and Mick. I am disappointed to be not going today and even got told off by missus for sulking, but let's try to be optimistic.

We should have put perspex panels in the roof, like at Newcastle.

If results go for us we will have gained a game in hand, swings and roundabouts, far better MM and TC get some game time in training with them. Southampton will not have a clue about what’s coming either, so a better chance of our regular coronation year FA Cup triumph

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
I think it is a massive positive. He has more time to bond with the players and get them to buy into what he wants to achieve. More time on the training ground and a competitive FA cup game to have a look at the team.
Think Southampton losing will mean they will rest key players, whereas our players, should be busting a gut to prove themselves to McCarthy

The Saints play League Cup semi games either side of playing us. If the first leg doesn't finish the tie, surely they'll have more than an eye on a Wembley Cup Final appearance.

3 things worried me about yesterday.

1. Mick hadn't really seen us play or knew any of the players and Connor hadn't even been up
2. Some bloke who was under Crappleton was put in charge of picking the team
3. We didn't have a defence worth speaking of

A bit like at Watford - exception and enthusiasm was over-taking reality and a postponement was the best outcome.
