Given his injury and lack of appearances, maybe we should revisit him a little.
26 years old, 6 foot 1. Signed in January 2022 from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee, 3.5 year deal with the option of a further year.
He got off to a flyer against Birmingham.
His injury obviously set him back and when he returned it takes time to get over that, he was also played out of position.
It'll be interesting to see how he does, he's definitely been written off by some, but made an impact the other night vs Derby.
The goals will give him confidence, he's tall enough that he can hold up play, flick on, but he has a bit of pace and movement too. Decent at getting on crosses in the air but also scoring on the deck. He seems to put himself about and give 100%.
In many ways he's still a bit like a new signing, with a chance to prove himself under the man who signed him, with some order restored at our club.
Seems a good character too.
Good luck Jake, let's hope he continues to show us what he can do.
