Derry-born footballer James McClean has said he ‘makes no apologies’ for joining in with Wrexham FC fans singing an anti-monarchy chant.
The recently retired Irish international participated in the song during Wrexham's promotion celebrations on Saturday, with its lyrics including the line: “"He hates the f***ing king.” Can't wait for his return at BR

He’s an anti-monarchist, so what, don’t particularly have a problem with that, but why be such a cock about it? He knows his views are at odds with a lot of fans in this country but persists in being so vocal about it and then cry’s when he gets shit. Complete bellend of a man.
He’s entitled to his views and entitled to express them, but do it in a dignified and intelligent manner.

He says it because he's protected by the police and stewards when people are mostly likely to able to tell them they disagree with him.

And actually, the chant is funny and why wouldn't he join in. There's loads which are a bit close to the knuckle but that isn't one of them.

And I'm fully in support of the monarchy.
 
It's shocking, he shows no respect to the Royal Family or to the country he chooses to earn his living. Prince William only recently visited the Racecourse ground and met the management so very embarrassing for them. Hope the hierarchy there cancel his contract and he can go back to selling his toothpaste.
