Anyone heard the All The Colours Of You and Beautiful Beaches from their new album due out in June? I know there are quite a few James fans on this forum. I think the new stuff is fantastic! 40 years of brilliant music. The current lyrics are also very relevant.

Loved them back in the day, will try it out, thanks for the tip off.
‘ You may have oysters but you’ll never find a pearl ‘ ace lyrics 👏
One of my favourite songs ever.

Seen them quite a lot first time supporting Bowie at Main Rd. And last time supporting Oasis at Heaton Park. Saw both gigs at Blackpool Tower and Empress ballrooms.

I've seen them many, many times over the years and will be seeing them again in September at Lancaster with the Lightening Seeds and again in Scarborough with the Happy Mondays. They are consistently very good live and still turn out new stuff that is right up there with some of their best tracks over the last 35 years. If you have never seen them live, go on, treat yerself!👍 🙂

I have gone a bit nuts this year and booked Lancaster, Scarborough and Birmingham. Knowing James, each gig will be different. That is the beauty of seeing a band with such a huge brilliant catalogue. You see Stone Roses and know exactly what is coming, every James gig is a mystery song wise. PM if you fancy meeting up for a gig pint!

Not my cup of tea but over the years i have heard so many good reviews about their concerts. Everybody raves about them live.

Bands are always older than they appear in the mirror...

What was your background then Junior? If you’re 45 tomorrow then our paths may have crossed years ago.
Dodgy background😉 46 tomorrow unfortunately, counted 45 as being able to round up or down.
Started school life at Larkholme primary, then moved abroad, came back, ended up at Carr Hill High School before moving abroad again, then back to Preston College and have lived around Preston pretty much since then.

Our paths definitely crossed then. You’d be in the same year at Larkholme as Chris Beech, Ali Baker, Chris Elliott, Jamie Poole, Andy Marham, Steve Rial, Steve Moore etc. I was year below.
