He’s confirmed his exit from Wigan and apparently we’re pushing hard to sign him. Anyone think it would be a good signing?

If the coach wants another GK, that's fine! They don't count towards the squad limit do they?

Good enough for third choice in your opinion?
The key point is that he's not "of professional standing", which means he's played less than 6 games in the EFL.

The reason that's important is that EFL rules permit emergency loans if there are no keepers "of professional standing" available, so the absolute worst case scenario is that both keepers get injured, and the club can't arrange a loan in time, so he has to play one game, and the odds of that are fairly remote as well.

Nice. Didn’t know that. No need for a third ‘professional’ keeper at all.

Can always bring an emergency loan in like when we did it with a young Joe Hart
Whilst I recognise the fact you're not even making the suggestion, if certain circumstances (beyond our control) were to arise and it was deemed necessary for an approach to be made, I'm not so sure he would any longer have the 'heart' required for such a move ...

Not sure tbh.
He's competent enough at the level he's at but he's not had the benefit of playing "mens" football yet.
Keeper loans don't seem that easy to arrange and that's probably what he needs.
... "men's"... Think: apostrophe!
