It's not just larger clubs like Portsmouth though, clubs similar or of a smaller status than Pool, could also be the players parent club, even when in a lower division, offering a better deal than us. It's sickening.

The rumour mill is saying that where he goes next season all depends on what league Wednesday are in. If they stay up then he moves on, if they go down then he could resign for them. That's why it's a loan and Wednesday have sold him. They certainly had a few offered for him from here and a club in Germany.
 
Would prefer Byers on a permanent, but don’t mind a loan, a better player than Moxon at this level and will have something to prove with his contract ending in the Summer.
 
What does everyone think of our January transfer business?

I'm quite disappointing to lose players and not bring in replacements of similar quality, think we now lack squad depth. Would have kept Dougall, used Apter in squad rotation (or put him up against carey), TOB needed to leave as he just wasn't good enough. Weirs loan ending (would of liked this to be extended), don't understand why we loaned Thompson out either? Selling Dale to a play off rival wasn't smart unless the money received was really worth it..

Thought we could of wrapped up a deal for Moxon however hes pissed off to Pompey. Byers looks good, however has this been confirmed yet? Finnigan is still a young lad with no League 1 experience. Cant really say much about Tharme as he went under the radar a bit performance wise.

Would of liked to have added a winger, attacking midfielder and defensive midfielder this January at least.

This window has the potential to be a good window depending on how today goes, but if it does go as planned and we get Byers and a LCH we will be in a better place than at the start of the window in my eyes.

Out
Tharme (No great loss never really played)
Dougall (Replaced by Byers hopefully)
Dale (Never fitted into our system, but played ok when involved)
Thompson (A mistake waiting to happen, Coulson a far better player).
TOB (No loss)
Wier (Never played so no great loss)
Apter (Letting him develop in L2 is a good option just hope Dembele does not get injured)

In
Coulson (Better option then Thompson)
Finnegan (our player looks a better option than Wier)
Byers (If we sign him a good replacement for Dougall)
New LCH would be a great addition to compete with Hubby.

Sunderland player joining - no sign of him
Byers not joining - very strong rumours he's signed for us
WBA player joining - not a chance with your track record!

Why do you pretend that you know what is going on when clearly you dont?

At last people who are first team ready. Better loan’s than permanent for Byers et al because we don’t know what division we will be in. Virtue should have gone. Much as the hopes were bigger when he signed for us he’s just treading water and getting older under Critchley. He needs a fresh start.

The squad is getting healthy at the right time too.

Apter won't be getting recalled, unless it's before the end of the day.

Not really! Morgan has settled much better in his current position. CJ and Dembele are about as different as it gets. Carey is nothing like Dem and Apt either.

As i said varying attributes.

If you needed to replace KD for a game the replacement would be one of those three. Nobody said they'd be clones of KD, just replacements.
