January transfer rumour thread Part 1

I checked him on the interweb
His score looks rather good
I'm not sure where it came from
The source is clear as mud
His rating's in the 70s
The same as our Josh
We might even sign him
If we rustle up the dosh.
He does his best for Estoril
who happen to be crap
I'm not sure what that tells us
Should he drop into our lap
I've not yet found a YouTube clip
to enable us to drool
We just have to wait and hope
He ends up at the Pool.
The futures looking rosier
Ladies. And gents.
I cannot wait for the reveal
Of Rosier (Loreintz).
Did you get the bumper book of poems for Christmas?? 😂

Just checked his ratings on the internet. Believe it or not he is similar to Barlaser. 70 as opposed to 71. With a potential for 77 as opposed to 73. A better prospect.
6'2 very strong defensively. Valued around £1 million as opposed to 2.2m
Out of interest Josh Bowler was rated 71
He is currently playing in a struggling Estoril team

FIFA ratings, really 😂

What’s he like on Champ Manager Alf that’s the real test of ability as we know

Well I’ve currently still got Callum Wright as a starter on the RW in the Europa league semis - so probably not the most accurate either

Ipswich league below just spent 1.5 million on Nathan Broadhead.

Wonder if we’ll be spending anything, they obviously showed willing with Brannagan. Be interesting to see. The money has to be there.

Do we need a 'Dele Basheru' type of player now we have Poveda performing as a 10. Getting a DMF in releases Patino & Carey to
perform that role as and when required. Bringing in these extra 5 wont be cheap and how many leave not sure, I can think of 3/4.

On the subject of statistics of footballers taken from games.

Real football clubs do use player stats taken from the extensive player database in Football Manager. The player data in the game is inputted from 1300 scouts worldwide.

Every club in the game is assigned a real life scout who watches the games and updates the data for that specific club. Yes, even Blackpool has one.

It’s a great tool for clubs as even the biggest names, don’t have the network, time or resources to match the extensive coverage of the world game that Football Manager is able to achieve — even a club with the resources and pull of Manchester City only has a network of about 40 scouts across the world.

Wyscout in the most widely used database by the professionals.

You're absolutely right, but FIFA do just make the shit up as they go along. People have their ratings drop when they move club because it's unthinkable to have somebody who's an 85 playing for whoever it is, so on and so forth. They also base the potential of young players seemingly on how big the club is they play for. FM for example you find a lot of talent in smaller divisions that turn out to have massive potential, presumably as a result of in depth scouting. A lot of the higher ups at Sports Interactive have been involved with the football world long before they got into developing games. FIFA's basically bollocks though.

I developed a 37 year old Ian Evatt (resigned from Chesterfield) back up to a 71 rating and he captained the team, as a striker, in the Champions League final. One of my favourite things about FIFA is how crap the ratings are for this exact reason haha!

If barlaser was going to boro he would be there already.
Well you could say the same if he was keen on signing for Blackpool. There is nothing to suggest Rotherham will sell, even if they are willing to sell, his agent would be failing him if he wasn't playing interested clubs off against each other. Maybe there are more than 2 clubs after him? Either way, I highly doubt he will sign for Blackpool.

Not really what we need although I can see Beesley going out on loan.

Well I think we can rule out Nobbers who have just signed Cannon on loan from Everton and Ipswich who have spent £1.5M on Broadhead. Millwall are also looking at Rotherham's Ogbene, so are obviously in the market for a striker.

Not according to TangerineandWhitePod higher up the thread who has proved reliable in the recent past and FLW is not particularly reliable but who knows? :)

Demi Mitchell being lined up by Wigan have just signed Steven Caulker. Toure obviously focusing on their defence.
