Jeff Beck RIP

Just read this in the paper. Unbelievably gifted guitarist - one of the best, if not the best. It’s the one thing I’d love to do is play the guitar. I can play a bit, but watching the likes of Jeff Beck is just mesmerising.

Viral meningitis very unlucky, great guitarist and the 70's rock album Beck Bogart & Appice is still one of my all time favourite rock albums. RIP

You could set off a long argument on who’s the best, Kirmy, (Sorry lad, the predictive thing won’t let me do your name!!!)
Best? Clapton will get most votes? Those who’ve seen Hendrix live will have been seduced.
Interestingly, Hendrix said the best was Rory Gallagher.

RIP Jeff. Just listened to his Plan B track on You Tube absolutely superb composition and playing.

Bit of an enigma for me, yes he was an innovative excellent guitarist but a band needs a singer too.

As a Beatles fan I have footage of Beck covering a Beatles number, 'She's a Woman'. Basically, it was a vehicle for him to wander off and take the guitar wherever he wanted occasionally returning to the riff of the original song. Clever and absorbing. RIP.

Sad sad news.
Went to see ZZ Top at Wembley a couple of years back. Jeff Beck came on and played 3 songs for the encore, brought the house down
RIP.

Any guitar fans who haven't heard him play "where were you " are really missing something.
Dave Gilmour is no mug, he tried to play it and said its impossible.
An absolute masterpiece.
