Jerry Yates to Blackburn?

He’d be better off coming back here and helping us back to the Championship, we could do with him in the dressing room too!

If other clubs want him then we can’t compete,he will go to the club offering more money for the loan,so that rules us out,we might get a few in the bridcut mould, that other clubs don’t want, that will keep the happy clappers satisfied.

I wonder what sort of fee Swansea are looking for. Would a championship club really spend a couple of million on him?

I said at the time from an ITK source - Jerry didn't fancy either Swansea or Coventry and was settled up here - I also said he'd be back in the North West within the year.

Do you really think he would come back whilst Critchley is in charge? He spent more time on the bench than on the pitch under him last time!

Critchley also had him be prolific in League One, and they seemed very friendly this year during that small period they were both together.

I had the same idea previously, but I doubt that’s an issue now. He won’t come back anyway IMO, hope he does.

He has also spent a lot of time on the bench at Swansea. It very much looks like he is going though because Swansea just signed striker Ronald from a Brazilian club, Gremio Anapolis (?). The lad is only 22 and got a 3 year deal.
I agree with Normanx, what is the obsession with Jerry?
A lot of people keep saying that teams should play to his strengths but you cannot simply set a team up for 1 player, especially when the guy is not quite at Championship level.
I’ve said a million times he is a decent player and a work horse but he is at the level where he would excel in League 1 but not quite hack it above that. (Just my opinion)
Anyway I wish the lad well and what will be interesting is how he gets on.
If he ends up warming the bench (again) then surely that sends out a message.

There is an obsession, presumably because he is a bit of a legend here. We also have a track record of bringing players/managers back to the club.

I think it was pretty clear that he loved his time at Blackpool and I think somewhere along the line he will return at some point. It won't be this window though, I doubt Swansea would loan him out and would only accept a transfer fee close to what they paid for him.
