Jerry You Should Stay.

Jerry is infectious and you can tell he’s a great personality in the dressing room. Highly thought of too - going to be gutted when he goes.

There’s too many championship clubs after him for us to manage to keep him

I think the next couple of weeks - training, trip to Ireland, Corinth's arm round him and signings and ambition will play a big part in if he decides to stay. If he's happy and settled then we might just persuade him to stay a bit longer (and making him our highest paid player wouldn't go amiss either).

Any details on training trip to Ireland?

If near me I could report!

If you were Jerry would you stay?...no ambition shown from the club at all yet and another long long season ahead as things stand...careers are short and he should be able to secure a decent deal...I hope he stays but I just can't see it
You have certainly been made to look rather naive again.

He will be off soon .Short career and all that.
If he was as sentimental as most supporters he would stay .
Th original post was fine but would only work if we got promoted and that us far from guaranteed .His stock would fall and with it opportunity to boost his long term finances/career .
If he was your pal, family etc I suspect you would advise him maximise his wealth

Another faceless poster I have never heard of..pray tell me why do I look naive..of course Jerry will train with us until he gets an offer elsewhere…I really hope he stays but haven’t seen any evidence yet to suggest he will…if anything it is you that is naive
Have you seen any evidence to suggest he will leave? Of course, he may do, but it's anyone's guess. If he does it will be on our terms pricewise, and he will be replaced with one or more strikers who we will have every chance of developing in a similar way.

Apparently it's our model overall, to sell at a profit, but after the calamitous fuckup that was last season I'd hope we'd do everything to give us the best chance of rectifying it.

Maybe our valuation is more than other clubs will want to pay. He's contracted to us so we should be dictating terms. Win win either way 👍

Jerrys only decision is who to sign for, the club will probably need to sell him to the highest bidder in order to minimise losses. I’d love him to stay, I’m a massive fan and it would make the difference between promotion or getting close.

I have said it before unless he has a terrible attitude at the thought of staying I would keep him this year to push for promotion (how much is getting back to the championship worth) if it all goes wrong we activate the 12 month extension and maybe look to sell him then. Ok probably at a reduced rate but should still be for good money, if no sensible offers come in we keep him again for a 2nd push at promotion, are we really that desperate for this kind of money🤔😪 and how to replace him, it isn’t going to be that easy😫

Of course not but I would be amazed if he stays tbh…I hope he does but it is asking a lot for a player to turn down higher division football on a much bigger wage

He won't get chance to turn it down if we think the bid is below our valuation, but if he wants to leave and the fee meets our expectations, then he'll be allowed to leave. I think the days of 'offer us a few quid more than we paid for him and snap their hands off' are gone. Thankfully. ;)

If he is going to leave, which I hope not, let it be earlier rather than later. We do not want another Bowler situation, when he left on the final day of the window, with no time remaining to bring in a replacement. This window is progressing so much better than the last three, so don't let us cock up now!

Looking at the transfer market, this is a long game type of summer where I am 100% confident he will be here at the start of the season .. less so by the end of August.

Jerry is under contract. He plays for Blackpool next season unless an offer comes in that the Club can’t refuse. That is the starting point ! Offers during this window of up to £2m are counter productive. Pool are unlikely to find anyone as good for that money, so we’re effectively downgrading if we sell.

I get the feeling he’ll be gone next week and the sooner the better for me - to the point I’d be telling his agent if they want away then he’s not on the plane to Ireland.

And, I suppose the very fact that it will be a case of 'plane' away during this period of destabilising unrest, can only really help with the unsettling transition that will inevitably follow. The arrangement will suit both parties, I'm sure, and it's only once the air has been 'cleared' of all the detritus which begins to appear during the course of such events, can matters begin to truly proceed in the way all concerned would like to see. So let's just banish all unecessary hurdles and obstacles from the picture and proceed in a way that everybody involved is happy with.

Well one way the social media guys will increase their hits as everyone plays 'Where's Jerry' on the official videos from Ireland!
