Thanks to everyone who has donated so far - and also a big thankyou to Mick (Big Bertha) for his ongoing support for this project and all the other campaigns and causes he supports …. 👍
 
Have had a few expressions of interest last week from certain Pool supporters - so we are hoping for an increase in funds pretty soon.

The plan is to get enough so we can the project underway in April.

As ever all donations are really appreciated and all donors will have their names on the Mural plaque which will be erected in The Armfield Club 👍🧡⚽️🙏

Thanks to Mick Big Bertha (again) - top man - and the wonderful Northern Ireland Seasiders we are now on £4K - which is tremendous. 🧡🧡🧡

We have had some direct donations from individuals, businesses and supporters groups so in reality we are now over £7k - which is ace.

Needs some sponsored posts from the groups that have like pages. My suggestion for what it's worth is

week1 Armfield Club
week 2 Tangerine Knights(I'll pay for ours)
week 3 BSA
week 4 BST
week 5 Seasiders Podcast

With just those alone they have 18,000 followers between them. There's also the Muckers supporters group, not a like page so we couldn't do sponsored posts but we could post on there? I think UTMP also has a few thousand followers too. Why not get us all in one night and we can sort it out. Maybe the Armfield Club starts the ball rolling and asks for 1953 shares on it's page, granted an ambitious target but even if it only got half the shares, coupled with the sponsored posts I'm sure we'd get that last £4000.

You’ve pretty much got it BB - plus the cherry picker + paint materials … we had a few quotes above this but think we’ve gone with the right artist 👍

When you factor in the state of most of them after a long Saturday of intensive teambuilding it’s very impressive

One thing I really love about the team is that the majority of them are season ticket holders who travel home and away - they bleed tangerine like us lot pal …. 🧡🧡🧡
 
Currently stands at £7080 - getting there and there may be other donations still to add Rox? Come on, let's make this happen now. If our owner can stick in ten percent surely AVFTTers can stick in a tenner each?
 
Some concern has been intimated that the Mural could be subject of graffiti etc.

At a previous property in Blackpool I had a very large stained glass window (approx 4m X 2.5m), possibly larger, and this was protected by a large made to measure sheet of perspex. It works brilliantly, doesn't detract from the quality of the Mural, washable and protects from all sorts of foreign objects.

I don't know what the pricing would be, but might be worth thinking about.

I believe it's being coated in resin.

Always a danger - but it is a fenced off area now and we will have CCTV on it - 👍👍🧡🧡
