Jobs for the Boys (and girls)

The NHS Test and Trace system went live yesterday (Thursday), with Baroness Dido Harding of Winscombe in charge of the operation.

Where I live in North Somerset the local MP. John Penrose, is married to this lady, and she is the ex chief of Talk Talk.
How do these people get these jobs, particularly given her past and the fact that Penrose is a ** useless Tory who has done nothing for the area.

She's also on the board of the Jockey Club which own Cheltenham Racecourse. Allowed to make money spreading the infection and then again after thousands have died. Do we call it cronyism or corruption?
