Mmm, normally nobody on here would listen to a word Barton says, but have a go at pilley and it must be true!!
interesting, when Andy was being interviewed on local news he only had good things to say about Barton, that tells me everything I need to know.
 
Interesting listen.
The documentary is ready to go but can't be aired until after Barton's court case in June. They are planning to build an indoor dome thing at Poolfoot to increase academy status. Pilley said they aren't under a transfer embargo but there was no follow up question about a loan from the EFL and he didn't mention it either.
Grayson was his usual dour self.
 
I watched it live and it showed about 140 watching. Will Watt said there are 1000s watching on all platforms. It would be good for pool to do one of theses types of meetings.

Agreed that it was very open and worked well but would it work with such a larger audience if we did it? Can you imagine Sadler , Critchley and Mansford answering questions live on you tube from any Tom Dick or Harry? It would be chaos!

Well it's worth a try, let the fans that do not sit on the top table of supporters groups at least see what is going on and allow questions from more than the usual groups, who don't speak for all.👍

It wasn't chaos because Will Watt was in control of the questioning. Some of the questions were sent in advance of the forum.

The Pilley-Barton relationship was always going to end in tears. I don't think Barton has done himself any favours with that outburst and would be surprised if he would be considered any time soon for a Head Coach/Manager role.
 
I’m in the minority, but I think Barton is a good coach/manager who I wouldn’t have minded at Pool had we not got Neil Critchley.
Made his mistakes but an intelligent man who I think could do well in the future given the chance.

i believe what was said regarding barton paying staff out of his own pocket was said tongue in cheek that if he wanted to keep lutviler he would have to pay him out of his own pocket
