Jonathan collapsed and died 3 years today, at a pub in Accrington following Blackpool's 1-1 draw.
JP's dad, Rennie, had died 18 months earlier, had for more than 50 years, looked after the little South-West corner Directors Box for all Ist team and Central League matches. Rennie had a massive Gold Bond round, and we'll into his 90s, sold Golden Gamble tickets outside The West Stand.
They were both BFC through and through, and had their ashes jointly buried a foot behind the goal-line and in the middle of the Kop-end goal. RIP JP and Rennie.FB_IMG_1663754940211.jpg

Had many a pint with JP in the old Hop, used to bump into him more recently in the now derelict Wetherspoons in lytham road, he was a true gent that liked his real ale😁, RIP my friend

Yep, had many a boozy Saturday in The Hop with JP, many a boozy away trip and one or two nights in Preston ,even a boozy week in The Isle of Man for the famous football tournament ! RIP my friend.

I was in the same class at Grange Park throughout infants and juniors with Jonathan and we both went on to BGS but different forms.
Always used to chat to his Dad at Bloomfield Rd.
I wonder if @Skye Charlie remembers him.
RIP to them both.
