What a talent. How many points has he been responsible for now? Assists, goals, match winning contributions, left foot, right foot.

He is progressing quicker and quicker. Looks composed in front of goal, is getting his head up more when running with it and looks far better coming inside that earlier in the season. Championship Salah.

Our decision to keep him in January will go down as one of the savviest bits of business we've ever done.

We keep him for a few more months and he fires us towards a late playoff push while his price tag skyrockets, leading him to be sold for significantly more in the Summer than he would have been had we sold him in January.

Can see the comparison with Salah, the directness, finishing and pace. Champ version.

He was brilliant today. If only we had someone to take a decent free-kick from the fouls he wins!

Miles better than that Forest lad. They turned down 17 million for him so we need to get him tied down to a new deal with an assurance he can go if a similar fee is offered. This is where Mansford can earn his money. Would love us to get a massive fee then Sadler can recoup what he’s put in then it’s full steam ahead.

Think the new deal is out the window unfortunately.

It makes very little sense for Josh's career to sign up to a temporary 4 month pay rise, which will increase the price for the club and thus decrease the buying club's budget for his any potential wages.

Still confident we'll get north of £5m. He's worth £10m though. Can see someone like Brentford or Brighton giving us big money for him.

I can’t see him signing another contract for us unfortunately. If we don’t get offered enough in the summer it might be worth hanging on to him until January.
That would be more than half the season and could set us up for a play off run, or help us stay up depending on what type of season we are having.

You assume we wont offer him an incentive to sign.

And further incentives dependent on the sell fee.

I don't think it matters. Any incentive we would offer would be to increase the sale price. Any increased sale price reduces the contract and signing on fee package that a buying club can offer.

Just glad we had him this season, and we have him for the rest of the season and the club will get some cash for him.

Seems a level headed guy. Let’s not forget too that he has had a previous ‘big move‘ to Everton that really did not work out… he will want to be certain any move is not to somewhere on the bench or in the background. There is an option for him to be a big part of the like of us on good money…

What a beautiful goal. Both Bowler and Yates were superb in this. They left the Stoke defenders for dead and falling over each other. It reminded me of the Oldham away game when Wez scored and left bodies sprawling in his wake. My favourite goal of the season I think.

We accepted an offer from Bournemouth…in the end it was Bowler who decided himself to stay.

Think this is spot on

Class from Jerry, what a beautiful touch & reverse pass. It’s that link play he’s so good at, thought he changed the game last 10, we kept hold of it and he brought Josh & CJ back into the game.
This is why I’d be starting with Jerry more than Shayne. He’s a very good footballer who also works really hard for the team. That’s no criticism of Shayne either, who’s had a great first season at this level and can only get better.

They're both good players, in entirely different ways. I feel Lavery has more impact, overall, as Jerry has a tendency to get knocked off the ball too easily, at this level. He's not a target man. Fantastic assist today, though.

Josh has proven he made the right decision to stay.

If you leave you are in a new environment and a different style etc. It might put your good form out the window.

As it is he stayed and only grew a better connection with the other lads and improved his game far quicker than starting over.

With that improvement and goals his value has rocketed.

So if he does get the move for more cash, he's a better player for it.

Should offer him a deal but might not be able to compete.

But despite a third less time on the contract his value has increased far more.

Got to be worth at least 6-7 million even with 1 year left.

Must be pushing towards £7,000,000 now? 4 mill turned down in winter and now can’t stop scoring…..BET365 pushed him out to 8/1 to score anytime today…….can’t believe I didn’t follow my heart
If Brennan Johnson at Forest is worth £18m supposedly then Bowler is definitely not too far behind. Inflated market of course and all that.
