Judge after 10 games

4 Games is way too early to judge and I'm going to wait until the window closes and see how we do against Lincoln and the next 5 games as I always think by the end of September the leagues start to sort themselves out.
Not easy with ...

Wigan (h)
Fleetwood (a)
Wycombe (a)
Reading (h)
Barnsley (a)

Some tough games there but I'd say anything less than 15 points is not good enough.

whilst it’s early it’s plainly obvious to most what is wrong and that’s not judging (i don’t think?!) it’s just saying what we all see.
I’m sure the recruitment team are on the case though and as you say. the end of the window will tell us a lot….

That's going to take quite a turnaround!

Think there will be quite a bit of movement in the window, both in’s & out’s , then we will have a better understanding. Gabriel & Joseph may be on the grass by then as well .

That's only 3 wins from 6 and to be quite honest if we can't beat every team in this league then we're here for another season.
There are 5 games, 3 points per game equals 15 points, you want a maximum points haul, like I said, quite a turnaround.

Just reading Wellens presser in their local rag and he's saying how well Orient defended as it was backs to the wall most of the game. Exeter and Vale both had good away wins Saturday. We're not there yet and I still think there'll be 2 or 3 key signings. I can't believe the negativity, it takes time to adapt to a new style. It took Burnley a dozen games last season. Their fans were getting twitchy but Company came good.

The next win will be a big one for Critch. Silence the critics and give us back that confidence.
The problem is when that win will come ......

Of course it is.

I don't think anyone would disagree that the last 3 games have been frustrating at best, but anyone expecting a problem free cruise to automatic is firmly in the misguided and ignorant mindset.

To analyse and spout about what we would have done differently is fine, but a lot on here goes down a different road.

After all, if there's no improvement after the games you list where are the moaners gonna go when they've gone full tilt from day 1.

I seem to remember during Critchleys first spell that after his first ten games we were gash, then when Calderwood arrived we started to play a lot better, then he left and we reverted to type again.
From what I have seen so far, I'm really hoping that we change our tactics/style of play, before the ten games are up.

Just to re-jig your closing sentence slightly: 'The problem is: when will that win come?'

Yes, it's still early doors, but let's be honest here, we've looked pretty ordinary thus far, and that was when up against opponents who, at best, were far from being what you would describe as world-beaters. In fact, I think I'd go a step further and say, in all honestly, the teams we've faced thus far have been no more than workmanlike. So, what does that tell you about the state we must be in? Two words: quite alot.

Already, we've got plenty of ground to make up on the big-hitters in this division. Leave it much longer, and, I hate to say it, we might just begin to find ourselves looking rather nervously over our shoulder ...

... Or, dare I say it, start to think about making overtures to: A. Another.

From his last 17 games, he has only won 4

Let's say he wins 3 more and loses 3 more

That's 7 in 21

Not the messiah we all hoped for (hypothetical I know)

Last time Critchley was here he was an unknown quantity and was given the benefit of the doubt and even after a poor start to the season it all came good in the end.
But (apologies for poor start to a sentence) it seemed that we had a plan, we looked like we had a formula that would work, we played some good football regardless of the early results, things looked promising and rightly so.
Unfortunately this season, apart from the first 40 minutes Vs Burton we look terrible, lacking any forward attacking football at all it is just BORING lackluster football.
To me Critchley has lost what he had and maybe players don't think he is what he is portrayed to be.
I'm blaming Sadler for this, this is the 3rd time we've been back for past manager's while he's been owner, to me this stinks of can't be assed ownership or maybe Sadler is just a difficult person to work for, especially as this is the 3rd time not many actual fans wanted him back.
Maybe Sadler just doesn't feel the fans, maybe he hasn't been a Seasider since he was 2 years old 😉

We have mainly played park the bus teams so far and have struggled to break them down. We may find we do better against teams who come at us a bit more over the next 6 games

Yes, I agree. But Calderwood was a defensive coach, wasn’t he? Our current problem is scoring goals, not necessarily conceding them.

People are going on about points that we should get ,yet I believe its the stile of football that is upsetting most. I would love to see plenty of points coming our way ,but I don't want to see games like the last 3 . I would prefer to be entertained then guaranteed points and although I can see points coming our way I cannot stand 4 years of the shite we are watching now.

Again please explain “plenty of ground to make up”?

Go to google and type in Div 1 league table. We are one win off top of the league. We haven’t looked like winning last couple of games but I cannot class a 3 point gap as plenty of ground to make up.

Let’s have a semblance of realism at least.

The weird thing is if we can pull off a win on Saturday that will have been a decent start and leave us well placed hopefully for a few new players and a less tactical September!

Having caught up with all the nil nils now after my holiday I reckon the side looks very stable but simply lacking up top and out wide. The front two arent good enough, waste chances and lose the ball repeatedly. 30 shots against PV and Orient but weak finishing. And CJ isnt good enough, we need proper footballers who can find their team mates. Quality deliveery into the box, to better strikers. If we want to improve, we need to improve on those 3. In my opinion.

Tomorrow is an interesting one - win and we're in that pack at the top of the table who are separated by a win - lose and we'll soon find ourselves drifting in the bottom half of the table with Wigan to come. If results don't go our way, I think Critch will be deeply regretting his negativity and lack of transfers up front as this was is a crowd who have been served some tripe the last 12 months and will expect way more this season for a man some don't entirely trust.
