But we would be better off losing to Crewe and winning today.Won 5 Drawn 2 Lost 1 last eight games played. UTMP
We also started the season in relegation form and are playing catch-up. So dropped points through self destruction are going to get on people’s wick.Statistics can lie. Going nowhere fast with Critchley, finally more people seem to be waking up to this fact. Massive backing and wage bill and underperforming massively. All comes from the top and he’s not got it unfortunately.

Imagine sacking someone after that run of form.Won 5 Drawn 3 Lost 1 last nine games played. UTMP
Probably the same people who were saying we’re going up automatically after the win at Charlton last week!Imagine sacking someone after that run of form.
What ** planet are some people on
2.5 mill wage cap between 22 players plus young uns wages is hardly massive backing. We are building a team rather than buying ready made players.Don’t want him sacked, but he he’s been here over a year now with massive backing, and he should have learned lessons by now. He clearly hasn’t and needs to do so fast.
Behave yourself most of the team are on way more than 2.5k a week as they where all signed before the rule came into play which has now been abolished.2.5 mill wage cap between 22 players plus young uns wages is hardly massive backing. We are building a team rather than buying ready made players.
I've been saying it all season.Statistics can lie. Going nowhere fast with Critchley, finally more people seem to be waking up to this fact. Massive backing and wage bill and underperforming massively. All comes from the top and he’s not got it unfortunately.
Nonsense.2.5 mill wage cap between 22 players plus young uns wages is hardly massive backing. We are building a team rather than buying ready made players.
...and consistently in the bottom half of the league!Everyone said the real test was the two away to Portsmouth and Charlton, and we won both. Let's just accept that there are no easy games, and we'll drop points we don't expect to, and pick them up when we don't expect to as well.
Also, we must be the only club in the country whose fans talk about sacking a manager who has consistently had the team at the top of the form table for months.
It's all about opinions. Personally I think you're wrong.Statistics can lie. Going nowhere fast with Critchley, finally more people seem to be waking up to this fact. Massive backing and wage bill and underperforming massively. All comes from the top and he’s not got it unfortunately.
Yes i don't disagree. But it's a fact if we remain towards the top of the form table that will change....and consistently in the bottom half of the league!
We’re 12th (ie top half) with games in hand on everyone above us. Win them and we’re in the playoff places...and consistently in the bottom half of the league!
Mid table and after the last two home games, lucky to get a point in both, I simply cannot see it happening. Critchley and his players are lifeless at the moment. We’re 12th (ie top half) with games in hand on everyone above us. Win them and we’re in the playoff places
Here he is with his usual nonsense. Are you not bored yet?Mid table and after the last two home games, lucky to get a point in both, I simply cannot see it happening. Critchley and his players are lifeless at the moment.
How can I be bored with idiots like you to educate. Here he is with his usual nonsense. Are you not bored yet?
I suspect the main issue is the way we are winning. Negative football with few goals is not really the Blackpool way. So when we don't win, there is not much else to enjoy in the performances.Everyone said the real test was the two away to Portsmouth and Charlton, and we won both. I can understand that, we don't often dominate a game. We need more in midfield I think than what we currently have at the club, someone to link midfield and attack. We've been missing that all season even if we have been getting results.I suspect the main issue is the way we are winning. Negative football with few goals is not really the Blackpool way. Yes, it seems obvious to me.I can understand that, we don't often dominate a game. We need more in midfield I think than what we currently have at the club, someone to link midfield and attack. We've been missing that all season even if we have been getting results.
It's the key player for the summer transfer window. Not sure why we didn't address it in Jan but that's gone now. The signing of Embleton suggest we recognise it's a weak area but I don't think he's the answer. The optimist in me says we're waiting for the right player to become available, but who knows.Yes, it seems obvious to me.

Let's see how happy we all are after the next 5 matches.
Apparently we were going to 5 from 5 with with Crewe and Wimbledon the first two in that run with MK Dons, Fleetwood and Burton to follow so that didn't happen.
So, to all the optimists, I'm a one game at a time and am struggling to see if we can get anything from MK Dons on Tuesday.
How many points, honestly can you see us getting from the next 5 games?
MK Dons A
Fleetwood H
Burton H
Oxford A
Peterborough H
Ahhh just like we were going to get 6 points from Crewe and Wimbledon?MK Dons lost 3 nil to Wigan yesterday so that should be 3 points, against the Cods 3 points and Burton 3 points ...... 9 from the first 3 will keep us on track
Why are you worried about Dons? They were seriously crap in the first fixture. If anything seems like an ideal team to play after two slightly disappointing games.Let's see how happy we all are after the next 5 matches.

Spot on, well saidEveryone said the real test was the two away to Portsmouth and Charlton, and we won both. Let's just accept that there are no easy games, and we'll drop points we don't expect to, and pick them up when we don't expect to as well.

I'm worried about the supporters who think we just have to turn up against these teams and they'll just roll over. Why are you worried about Dons? They were seriously crap in the first fixture. If anything seems like an ideal team to play after two slightly disappointing games.
No I wouldn't think that either, but obviously the fact Burton just beat Peterborough and MK Dons just got hammered by Wigan means I've no reason to assume MK Dons will be much better than they were last time, particularly as we just hammered Wigan ourselves. Seems perfectly logical to me?I'm worried about the supporters who think we just have to turn up against these teams and they'll just roll over.
It didn't work like that yesterday did it?
I've always been a one game at a time , all this games in hand and were playing shite teams bollox winds me up.
So I'm not worried about MK Dons, I'm worried which Blackpool turn up.
Also you say MK Dons were shite in the 1st fixture, do you use that analogy for all the teams in this division as I wouldn't think Burton will be as bad when we play them next!!
At the moment 62 is making pertinent comments. I don't want the team to be playing like they did against Crewe and Wimbledon. I want us to look a well-oiled machine and after 28 games it's not unreasonable to ask for that. Here he is with his usual nonsense. Are you not bored yet?
I think that might be the best summary I've read, wins will always feel good because they're wins (saying that I felt pretty subdued after the Northampton and Rochdale wins at home) but the football isn't pretty, quite frustrating at times actually so when we get anything but a win it doesn't feel great.I suspect the main issue is the way we are winning. Negative football with few goals is not really the Blackpool way. So when we don't win, there is not much else to enjoy in the performances.
Why did that happen? Because there was no one up front to challenge for the ball. They were all in defence. My problem today was the Maxwell kicking. Just before half-time, in a couple of minutes, he kicked the ball twice directly to their goalkeeper. And the start of the movement for the equaliser? He kicked the ball straight over the sideline with the result they attacked the rest is history!
Alf, taking snippets of history and comparing it to now is quite nice but.....
That was then this is now, it doesn't matter what went on in 2007 its totally irrelevant as you're only looking at points per game.
What were the other teams like in 2007?
What teams are going to shed the points for Blackpool to get into the playoffs this season?
I'd love Blackpool to get into the playoffs as much as the next person, unfortunately even after giving them all the support on here after the shite start to the season I just think they'll be too inconsistent.
Expecting a tactical change for that one as Critchley will want to match up to their five in midfield again. Think Dougall and Embleton will come into midfield and one of Simms or Yates drop out. The pattern of the game will basically be to see what reaction MK have off their last two away results and if they go 1-0 up then we'll make four subs at once after 70 minutes to try and chase a point.I'm worried about the supporters who think we just have to turn up against these teams and they'll just roll over.

I’m just saying we had long inconsistent periods that season too. Regards other teams, loads of the ones above us have shed points over the last couple of weeks and will probably do so, not that we necessarily would need them to with our games in hand. I’m not saying we will make the playoffs, just that we’re doing pretty good at the minute and I can easily forgive a couple of draws. Lose the next one and it starts to be a bit different, but we’re not going toAlf, taking snippets of history and comparing it to now is quite nice but.....
