Benjamin Mendys career in English football is effectively over, that's according to his lawyer.
Doesn't say much for Fleetwood or Preston!!!
 
If Evans hadn’t played for Fleetwood or Preston we wouldn’t be discussing it on here.
Strange how the O/P didn't mention Sheff Utd the club he was playing for at the time.

Throw them in aswell I didn't know his career had been so illustrious and his fanbase so loyal!
Although I probably didn't mention them because his lawyer was making the point, irrespective of innocence or guilt, that when you are accused of rape your career is finished, yet he went on to play for Fleetwood and Preston.

He was found not guilty in a British crown court so he’s not guilty end off.
Cut him some slack FFS and respect the verdict.
Spent 2 years inside for a crime he later got found not guilty on he's more than paid his price.

Time we had another Joey Barton is guilty thread.

It's not me saying it, I had very little interest in the bloke, I was having a little tongue in cheek dig at Preston, I have next to no interest in Fleetwood either!

I think the point was he's played for them since the trial, whereas he never played for the Blades again.
