Keeper Signs

Released by Man United along with Demetri Mitchell (the left back on trial)

Alex Fojticek was also wanted by Liverpool but chose United so must have something about him

I would think both are known to Neil Critchley already, Fojticek is also under 21, so a good signing
with little to lose.

Is it me or can the United youth not defend good for Alex though kept busy looks a great signing for the future to push Maxy

Looks a good young keeper, and doesn’t count as one of the “senior pros” that are limited in the squad. Free transfer, short contract, doesn’t fill squad quota. Literally no risk signing with potential for a high reward.

I know highlight reels can make most players look good but there’s some incredible saves here. His reflexes look great.
Having watched that video, i agree some of those saves were brilliant reflexes, but every single save was parried.
In my opinion he could of held on to some of those shots. He's only young and we have a good goalkeeping coach in Steve Banks ( one of my favourite keepers ) to hopefully improve him, a good prospect for the future.

Of course he’ll have his weak points. I’m sure the coaching he gets he will improve those weak points I.e. holding onto shots.
At least he’s keeping those shots out though, that’s the main thing.

He's a 20 year old keeper. That's toddler age for a keeper. This signing alone with Fojticek suggests we are having to watch the salary cap carefully now. But we have top coaches who know what to look for in young players.

always difficult to tell from showreels as they only show the good ones, but his instincts look right, he spreads himself in the style of Schmeichel Senior, and his reflexes look sharp.

Made an horrendous error that gifted Rovers their 3rd goal.
Better to do it in a friendly and learn from his mistake..
Otherwise had quite a good half.
