Keeping Patino chant

Seen on a few threads people saying we should keep the chant as a club chant rather than for a specific player.

Not perfect but could be along the lines of

When I was just a boy
My dad gave me a choice
And though I’d never seen
The boys in tangerine
I felt it everywhere
Breathed in the sea air
And it was clear to me
I f**king hate pne

We already have the ….

“When I was just a Little Boy
I asked my Mother, what would I be…” chant..

This is exactly the same with mum replaced with dad and a slight variation on ‘being given a choice’ as opposed to ‘asking someone to recommend a choice’

So sorry, but it’s a big from me…

Sometimes chants just work for a particular moment and situation in time. You can’t repeat or recreate that, I’m afraid and like so many things in life, you need to just ‘Let Go’ and accept the impermanence… The alternative is a world of pain and embarrassment, unfortunately.

I’ve linked a guided meditation below for anyone else who might be struggling to cope with the loss of Charlie and his Chant.

P.S. Raggy will have something new and unique lined up for the new season.

Agreed let it go. Time to move on. Plus it’s a reminder of a very poor season…..I’d rather not start crying again !
