At the game with his family last night. Proper midfield enforcer was that lad! .
Am I doing him a disservice about his technical ability? I remember that block buster against Cheltenham away.
Yeah I think you are a bit mate. Keith had plenty of talent. You don't get to be a stalwart of Championship and PL football teams without being an exceptionally good football player.
I’ll take that. We were certainly always a better team with him in itYeah I think you are a bit mate. Keith had plenty of talent. You don't get to be a stalwart of Championship and PL football teams without being an exceptionally good football player.
Ben Burgess ive met there a few times with his and ive met Kieth tooAt the game with his family last night. Proper midfield enforcer was that lad! .
Yep, as you say...maybe not the most technically gifted of players, but fans loved him for his TOTAL commitment to the cause! He was Blackpool's Diego Simeone...or Nobby Stiles! Every team looks better with a player like that there though...Good lad Keith. Nice to see our ex players back and being recognised for their roles in past success.
Keith for me epitomises effort and commitment.
Technically probably the least talented player available to Holloway but the sheer will and determination to win back the ball, cover gaps, protect the defence and get forward to add numbers made him and the team a success.

A Gnashers like player is possibly the one type of player we're currently missing (if Kevin can stay fit, he'll do a fine job).Yep, as you say...maybe not the most technically gifted of players, but fans loved him for his TOTAL commitment to the cause! Gnashers did more Cruyff turns at Bloomfield than anyone else at the time.Good lad Keith. Nice to see our ex players back and being recognised for their roles in past success.

Very true, Gnashers would get in this team, Clarke would be nowhere near it.He signed with Peter Clarke on loan IIRC, and it's strange that at the time Clarke was really the one the fans wanted us to sign permanently. We didn't realise what a player we had initially but it quickly became apparent. In terms of attitude, will to win and desire to improve, you will not find better. I'm quite confident if he got on the pitch now he still wouldn't let us down.
That was a great goal - 1 nil away win - just knew we were going up when Keith's shot hit the back of the net.Good lad Keith. Nice to see our ex players back and being recognised for their roles in past success.
