Keogh article in Guardian

Sounds like he was badly mistreated by Derby. He has done so well to come back from all that.
He will be first in the queue for a coaching role there by the sounds of it though?

Yes I think it was largely driven by his age being on an expensive contract and the perfect window of opportunity to cut him a drift. Anyway it's all gone well for Derby since hasn't it, they've never looked back

I read this on Saturday and I do not understand why the two other Derby players in Tom Lawrence's Range Rover cannot be named. The twats ran away leaving Keogh for dead potentially. Scum.

I wasn’t happy with him, supposedly ‘captain’ of the defence at the start of the season. However, all this baggage lends itself to understanding and compassion for what he has gone through.
The bonus is that he is vastly improved of late.

Its a sad old story I’m glad he’s sorted his life out and pleased that he is playing well for us…but I can’t get past £24000 a week basic, £2.3M to pay up his contract, club employee on hand at the pub to call drivers and cars for them when they have had a few, tough old life innit!

I enjoyed reading that. Gives an insight into his character. Without perhaps knowing both sides of the story it appear that he was treated very badly by Derby compared to the drivers of the cars. It's amazing what depths the owners appear to lower themselves to when it comes to money....

Comes across as a very decent human being too. Seemed to forgive his ex colleagues for leaving him in the car and that takes an exceptional man with strong moral fibre and a good sense of reasoning to do that.
As some have said, looking to be a vital and very astute signing from way way out in left field
