Keogh released by Ipswich

Great character, but legs were already going I think, might be worth it for the experience he brings to others and banter.

Didn't he move for family though.

I was actually speaking to him the other day when he was up with the Ipswich team to play Fleetwood and asked him if he would consider a coaching role at Blackpool. He said he would be very interested in that and not to rule it out. He did also say he thought our fans were superb and he was gutted for us that we had been relegated. He also said he had seen himself as a go between from players to management and he had been involved in discussions regarding nutrition and organisational matters. He also was telling the other Ipswich players how big the scum Derby was as they were staying in Preston and how much we hated each other. Great bloke who took the time to chat to me for 30 mins. It's a yes from me.

Would likely make a fantastic coach. Get him in over summer and see if he can still offer something on the pitch too. At some point we’re gonna have injury problems and with limited squad sizes a player/coach is a nice option to have in the back pocket

We can't pick Critchley's No.2 but we could do a lot worse. It's time for him to retire from playing though. I thought he was older than 36 TBH. 😬

I'm pretty sure to play in the league he'd have to be registered in the 22, might be different in the cup though.

Could (therefore) Keogh be the ‘new’ Calderwood?

I was thinking more along the lines of registering him when needs must maybe ? But that only really works if the registration window is open or there’s a space free so it’s possibly not that useful… unless we put him down as 3rd GK !!
