Kevin Stewart. Injured again?

Although a very good footballer his injury record is shocking.

It's very sad to see and to say, he needs to be released at the end of the season...

What's his contract situation?

How do you know he's injured?
Has it already been released that he is?

Games come thick and fast, some players need rest time more than others.
That's the beauty of squad rotation.

How many games has he played this season?
How many last season?
He's not with the money he's on.

Blackpool Football Club is pleased to confirm that Kevin Stewart has agreed a new contract with the Seasiders, keeping him at Bloomfield Road until at least June 2023.

The two-year deal for the midfielder, which includes an option for a further 12 months, follows an impressive start to his time in tangerine.

Having Stewart is like owning an exotic convertible supercar.. its a really nice thing to have, you know what its capable of, but you only get to use it a couple of weekends every year.

Structure his contract accordingly but he is quality when playing.
Klopp once described him as the best talker at their club.
I'm a pretty good talker but I sit in the West Stand.......near where Kevin Stewart will be sat..

Well he's got this season and next to show he can play enough games, you can't just go releasing players when they pick up a knock! If you remember his ankle injury last season was from a nasty challenge, nothing he could of done about it.

It's too disruptive to the team to have him in and out constantly. It's a massive shame as he's such an influential player when he's fit and on it but we need players who can play 40 games a season in that position, that's how you get fluency and consistency in a team.

I reckon he’s picked up a slight knock and NC is doing this as a precaution to prevent longer absence. NC regularly does squad rotation anyway, so it gives others an opportunity.

Pick up a knock!!,the poor bugger cant seem to play more than two consecutive games without being out for another five.

Stewart got a kick to the foot - Critch hopes he’ll be available for Saturday along with Mitchell.
James is having a scan for a foot problem, Critch is hoping he can step up his rehab if given the all clear. Similar news with Dale.
Gretarsson is fit and has been ‘brilliant’ in training. 👍

We do seem to pick up our fair quota of injuries in training never mind matches. They must train to the wire I guess which given the way we finish games is no surprise.

Either that or the potential replacements are kicking the preverbial out of the current shirt occupants.🙂

It's a squad game and Stewart will play his part if he can major injuries notwithstanding
Some on here confidently told us that the big lad, the goal machine, Gary Madine had played his last game for the club and speculated about all sorts of things. In actual fact, he is now back on the grass it looks like he is going to play an important role this season.
Injuries happen and we have 25 places in our squad. When someone is injured it gives an opportunity to another player.
