Two years today saw King Kenny take us to the Championship with not 1 goal but 2. UTMP
Ungrateful **He's certainly dined out on that.
Hope he stays in Aus.
Idiotic remark! He's certainly dined out on that.
Hope he stays in Aus.

He got his option year extended didn’t he?He's certainly dined out on that.

Nice.Ungrateful **
Agree. Kenny is a proven good player. He's a defensive midfielder who was shoe-horned into a box-to-box role last season, due to a lack of quality midfielders.
Critch played him correctly; he'll have a good season this year
I can’t be bothered digging the stats out again, but 21/22 double the amount of tackles resulting in regaining possession than the next best in the squad. Topped that list again last season ahead of Patino. Quality player in a dire team but still contributed more than most give him credit for. Looked thoroughly fed up of it all last season IMO so I hope Critchley can get him up for the battle.
His powers definitely diminished after he stopped applying the Clairol Nice and Easy.Maybe needs to dye his hair again?
Let’s see with Dougall and Virtue in midfield next seasonMy favourite player. A players player. But a lot of goons on here won't know or see that.
Let’s not bring the Henderson example into it as if no one appreciates what he does.He is the archetypal pressing midfielder. Put him ahead of the DM and ask him to disrupt the opposition midfield, win back possession and lay it off quickly. That’s his value.
Jordan Henderson is the same (or maybe was). Often massively undervalued by supporters who prefer the the flair players, yet Klopp picks him week in week out to do a specific job to make the team better.
That only happened since Appleton took over.Let’s not bring the Henderson example into it as if no one appreciates what he does.
Henderson is quality and I also appreciate these sort of players more than anyone (Barry Ferguson, Keith Southern etc) but when Dougall is just relentlessly giving the ball away and often in dangerous positions as a defensive central midfielder we have to change it.

Twenty yards forward of Stewart? Do you mean Stewart was in the treatment room and Dougall was in the changing room?Which is why Critch didn’t deploy him as a DM. That was Stewart or Connolly. He was moved ten / twenty yards forward of Stewart with the main role of disrupting the opposition play maker.
Stewart job was to take it off the defenders and move it to the wide men. It’s what we lacked all last season

Ok well I’ll look forward to that next season thenWhich is why Critch didn’t deploy him as a DM. That was Stewart or Connolly. He was moved ten / twenty yards forward of Stewart with the main role of disrupting the opposition play maker.

Take it you didn’t see the promotion season then?Twenty yards forward of Stewart? Do you mean Stewart was in the treatment room and Dougall was in the changing room?
I did, I wasn’t impressed by Dougall then and he hasn’t done anything different since. In fact I’m wrong he has done something, he’s got worse.Take it you didn’t see the promotion season then?
TBF that applied to most of the teamThat only happened since Appleton took over.

Agree. I suppose the anniversary of the play off final being brought up makes people sentimental but thankfully people on this thread won’t be picking the team next season thank god.He isn't good enough and if he is going to be our ever present defensive midfielder this season then we aren't progressing as a club, we need better in midfield all round. I wouldn't want any of our central midfielders apart from maybe Carey but he has to prove himself in League 1 which I hope he can do and Trybull if he can stay fit. I think he will be the one player who will improve us in that area but we need a couple more players at least.
You leave Kenny alone. He's certainly dined out on that.
Hope he stays in Aus.
Better for him & us if he departs. You leave Kenny alone.
Another player killed by bad management, tactics and the chopping and changing of those two dickheads.
Kenny wil be an asset for the Seasiders next season. He has played well for us in his time at Bloomfield Road. Like all players he has had the odd off day but in reality very few.Better for him & us if he departs.
Take the rose tinted glasses off, he's not all that.

Fortunately that includes yourself.Agree. I suppose the anniversary of the play off final being brought up makes people sentimental but thankfully people on this thread won’t be picking the team next season thank god.
And that makes him worth keeping because......?Go on name another Blackpool player that has scored with both feet from outside the box in a Wembley final, or any other league game in
the last three seasons.
Complete garbage of a statement.People really think Kenny is the same player we had in that league one season. We need to forget it and move on we are in the same situation and he contributes nothing he can’t pass, he can’t tackle. Runs around headless every game. Mid table league one player now. We need to find better.
On his CV it will state Footballer.Complete garbage of a statement.
I’m guessing you don’t watch us play when he’s in the team. I can’t remember a game this season we played well in with him in the r midfield. I suggest you start to analyse how sh** he isComplete garbage of a statement.

Not to mention he has an average rating of 6.13. Some people really need to take off their rose tinted glasses he’s done f all since scoring in the playoff final.
Correct. However he stands out as one of the worst for me and quite a lot it seems. If you can’t let go of the past then so be it. However surely you would like us to improve on an almost 30 year old sluggish midfielder, and sign a bit of quality ?Who had a good season for us?
** nobody!
I would always like us to improve. Id also like us not to go backwards. And we need to recognise that the squad was badly mismanaged last season and not make rash decisions based on everybody under performing under those conditions. Critch will talk to KD and decide. I trust his judgement. He understood what KD brought to the side and played him all the time. MA dismantled it and we fell apart. What i don't know is whether KD wants to move on. He may want to. I wouldn't particularly blame him. He must have got royally pissed off last season.Correct. However he stands out as one of the worst for me and quite a lot it seems. Hopefully, I loved KD in that league one side. I’d probs keep as backup at most though. Definitely will be interesting to see how we go about recruiting players.I would always like us to improve. He wasn’t alone in being royally pissed off last season. The difference between them and us is they got paid for being pissed off, whereas we paid for that privilege.I would always like us to improve. Id also like us not to go backwards.
