I'm surprised about that, there was a majority in favour of independence until fairly recently - maybe this has something to do with the decision.

Can't say I agree with her independence stance, if anything we need to stick together. Perhaps she's realised it's not going to happen. Something must have happened & I doubt at the news conference it will be a conclusive explanation.

Hopefully the Scots will start to vote for a Labour Party that can do them some good in office rather than the one-eyed nationalists who were always on a one issue fairytale mission.

Hopefully the Scots will start to vote for a Labour Party that can do them some good in office rather than the one-eyed nationalists who were always on a one issue fairytale mission.

Labour are being positioned as a credible alternative by:-

-Moving away from the far left
-Distancing themselves from Corbyn and any others with the residual stench of antisemitism
-Hinting at economic credibility by suggesting they too wouldn’t be able to automatically fund high wage rises for public sector.

They would be the ones to benefit from any drop in SNP popularity.
