Kyle Joseph / Rhodes / Beesley

Joseph came with a big reputation. It’s early days but I’m unsure what his best assets are. Not a target man, not a pacey striker getting in behind.

Rhodes can’t be the lone target as he’s not got the pace. Beesley is similar.

We could do with another option up front IMO

You won't see the best of anyone with Critchley's tactics and formation.

Joseph is only 22 and not had a settled run yet. He does though seem to look completely uncomfortable in what he's being asked to do. He runs around like a headless chicken 🐔 he's therefore not able to get a partnership going because he's all over the place chasing stuff. His finishing hasn't looked the best. It's hard to tell which way he will go. Under Critchley it will be backwards of that I'm sure. The rest of the team have for the majority of games. I wonder if the likes of Dougall, Ekpiteta and maybe a few others want out?

He’s a an inside forward you’d play wide of a 3, simples. Anything else, it’s a gamble what you’ll get…

Yep 3 more forwards needed

Again it’s clear that away from home we have no threat in behind the defence. Need a pacey striker to worry the defence which we don’t have at the moment. Beesley and Rhodes are towing caravans

Joseph missed an entire pre season and he still hasn't caught up. Also he's come into a team not playing well. I think he will come good.
Rhodes is a finisher and a very good one but the flip side to that is you don't get much else out of him if he doesn't score
Beesley has done OK tbf to the lad, not a great footballer granted but gives it his all and that has stood out cos a lot of them don't seem to have that attribute but his injury looked a nasty one so we won't see him for a while now.

Beesley is a classic Blackpool forward. By that I mean, not one of the ‘great’ names that are rare, but someone who will put a shift in and is capable of a good run- see John Murphy, Ben Burgess etc.

Sorry about the previous poster joseph stealing a living I hit the wrong button.he is playing in a position completely foreign under critchley, and has only played it about 6games in total.I like him

Seeing as he was our main transfer in this season maybe we should play a system that suits him, either 4 3 3 or 3 4 3.
I’d like to see it, but could the rest of the players adapt to it? Would they suit it?

I’d like to think so.

Joseph is a good player IMO, I thought so before I heard we were signing him so in no way do I think we've seen the best of him yet. Needs games and with the injuries, is now likely to get them, but also he probably needs to be in a team with some mojo, so we need to turn things round sooner than later or we may not see the best of him.

Joseph now appears to be our only striker

Don't think we've seen enough of Joseph to properly judge just yet. He puts a shift in to be fair but sometimes not in the right way. He's also missed a few that he should almost definitely be bagging.

Bit of confidence and more game time, who knows how he'll turn out
