@Lala - you back yet?

Good morning !

Yes, back last Sunday thanks for asking and went the Sunday before.

I didn’t sleep so well out there, but I am sleeping like a baby now, a very sleepy baby at that 🤭

It was great thanks. We managed Central Park in the snow, as our first full day there had inches of the stuff, that was so pretty. All the other days were snow free and we averaged about 30k steps a day 🤓 We managed Rockefeller Centre, Bryant Park, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Grand Central Station, Natural History Museum, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, a walk to Chelsea Market and Greenwich to see how the locals lived. Central Park as stated and obviously Times Square.
Highlight for me was the view from the top of the Empire State, that was spectacular, breathtaking. My daughter loved the 9/11 museum experience, but I didn’t go in as thought it might be too upsetting. Wish I had now really.
Chelsea Market was good, I recommend Bigtings jerk chicken 😁 which I am going to try and replicate this weekend 🥹.

Did the subway twice, probably wouldn’t bother again with that. The shootings on the first day put me off and it’s just a bit dirty and druggy for me.

To top things off I got an upgrade on the flight home which was random and unexpected, but much appreciated, thank BA 🇬🇧

I think we are doing San Francisco next May. It will take me that long to want to fly again, it’s a bit boring isn’t it on a long haul 😎 and I know NY is a relatively short long haul !

Thanks for asking TS. It’s one off my bucket list. My granddaughter wants to go back, I think we may do a twin job with San Fran and have another 3 nights at NYC at a slower relaxed pace !

A visit to Alcatraz is a must if visiting SF. Also get yourself on a Wine day thru Napa Valley

Sounds brilliant.

I think the view from top of the skyscrapers are just extraordinary and massively different to anything we have here in the UK.

And an upgrade - what a fantastic bonus.

Glad you're sleeping better now you're home. I suspect you'll be fine until you start planning next year's adventure!!

You say druggy and dirty like that's a bad thing...
