How big a cup is this for the club?
Playing Liverpool in the semifinal at 2pm on a Monday suggests to me that it will not be a sell-out..
And what players are we fielding here....those needing gametime and coming back from injury, or our youngsters?

It’s a trophy that Blackburn, the current holders, have won 20 times so it can’t be that important

the quarter-final was played away, to Everton, behind closed doors

the team for that game was

S Moore, Sterling (Trialist), Grant, Casey (Sinclair), J Moore, Antwi, Trusty, Mariette, Hamilton, Dale (Trialist), Bange

p.s. Blackpool have won it 7 times and were the last team to win it three times in a row, 1993/4, 94/95 and 95/96. We haven't won it since then

I remember we won it in 1994, because that's the summer I visited John Schofield of NCCP (the soft drinks), who "made me" a Blackpoolfan.
I remember the trophy inside an office at Bloomers, and I believe we beat Man Utd in the final?
Les Sealy somehow comes to my mind..

Didnt they use a pre-season Lancashire Cup game to check the, then new, East Stand, before the Premier League season, with I think 500 allowed in. I remember there was a game, as we went. Just not sure if it was a Lancashire Cup game.

I believe the trophy itself is one of the largest competition trophies. I'm pretty sure it's on display at the National Football Museum.
No mention yet if fans will be allowed to watch.

It's a stunning trophy. Of its time, but you can see what being the Champions of Lancashire meant back in the day. Probably, the equivalent of World Club Champions.
