Lancashire v Kent CC Div 1 25 July 2022

Whilst it’s always good to see Yorkshire struggle, from the point of the title race, I would far rather it was Hampshire who were 33 for 6.

Hampshire are in the mix for the title, whilst Yorkshire won’t finish us above all of Lanky, Hants and Surrey even with a game in hand and even if they win this game

Think we could do with winning the toss here and putting them in as it lppks very overcast, and as we’ve only won one toss all season we must be due one

Looks a tad short in the batting department.

I try to remain positive about our players but we need better options than Rob Jones if we have any serious chances of winning the County Championship.

I know it's tough out there but I can't remember many decent knocks he's made for us?

Absolutely perfect bowling conditions and 2 quality international bowlers too. Shame we couldn't get away 2 or 3 down but 110-3 would have probably been above par given everything.

This is also a used pitch so batting last against Lancs' 2 spinners will not be easy.

Lovely to see a pitch not slanted towards the batsmen. Reminds me of the uncovered pitches GB was always on about. Mind you, I think even Geoffrey's mum would have wanted a decent stick of rhubarb to play on this. But what a treat to see technique on both sides of the ball that isn't just heavy bat on short-pitched ball.

A bit like the last game . . . behind after the first innings and then win the game 👍 🌹

Morley & Sundar to fill their boots on the final day.
