Lancashire v Surrey County Championship 05-08 April

No play today to go with the Loughborough match which was rained off entirely :(
 
You'd think that they'd schedule some of the one day stuff around this time as there's a better chance of getting the game completed given the higher weather tolerance these formats have.
 
Beginning of April and not fit for cricket - wow what a surprise. Two of the top teams programmed to meet in a match that might not even happen. Are the ECB stupid - or are they deliberately trying to sabotage country cricket? Best thing to do with April would be an indoor 100! Doh ☔

I was with you until you mentioned the competition, that should be assigned to Room 101.

Basilexile: I would happily ditch the 100 as well, but there's as much chance of that happening as SS changing his mind on the manager. I was just being sarky. The 100 could quite well be played in a rainstorm and gale, and might be some fun then. Keep August for real cricket. Alas it won't happen! Room 101 an excellent venue name.

Lancs bat first and play just started.

80 overs left today.

Surrey have some batting line up.

I'd forgotten how much the Surrey commentator irritates me.
 
This is good steady stuff from us and Bohannon looks like he means it. Couldn't believe Wells getting out after he'd done all the hard work.
 
Blimey - from a comfortable 150-2 we are now 184-7.

The positive is that 6 wickets have been taken from two part time spinners . . . we have two international spinners.

With rain to come its probably going to be a draw anyhow.

I thought you were. I am at a total loss as to why the T20 was not rehashed with extra overseas signings, avoiding the need for this awful competition.
