It appears the @missinglink is missing so I'll start the cricket thread. A truly appalling start to the season sees us rock bottom of the table so a win desperately needed. A good start winning the toss and Kent are 76-4 at lunch on the first day, 3 wickets for Balderson who is having a blinder so far. Come on the Red Rose. Apologies if a thread already exists I can't find it.

A 2nd wicket for Lyons catch for Wells 198-7. 200 up for Kent.

Important update day 2. No play so far due to drizzle and bad light so nothing to report. This isn't important I was going for dramatic effect. Inspetion at noon.
 
Wicket and a third for Lyons clean bowling Agar the 'Orrible! 228-8 Lunch may be put back. Is put back to 1.30.
 
Oops wrong again lunch taken so 235-8. Why an early lunch wasn't taken I really don't know.
 
The new ball does for Gilcrist caaught behind off Bailey. Matty Parkinsin enters the fray and promptly departs for 3 a 3rd wicket for Williams. 261 all out so a fair recovery by Kent. I await the Lancs reply nervously as our side does not look balanced. The pitch is starting to turn so it will be interesting to see how Matty fairs, should never have let him go IMO.

I always liked Parky but he wouldn't get a sniff this season with Lyon & Hartley in front of him. I understand why he wanted a move.

Bohannon gone . . . not a great start from Lancs.
 
Here we go Bohannan bowled middle stump bowled Gilchrist who I thought was an Oz wicketkeeper. terrible shot out for 9.
 
Oh God there goes Jennings as well 30-3 and no it's not too early to be fearing relegation.

I agree it was a good move for him but I have no idea why we needed Lyon we needed batters.
 
Wicket! 30-4 Bruce out for a golden duck Agar on a hatrick. Come back missing link I'm a curse.
 
High drama Bell wasn't ready to bat and almost got timed out!! That would have summed things up.
 
Hartley out for a duck, 40-7 Gilchrist now has 4 wickets. I have to say brilliant bowling by Kent. (Gits!).
 
The loss of Croft and Vilas leaves our middle order looking very weak, don't expect we will see much of Salt Livingstone or Butler either a long season ahead.
 
Matty Hurst giving it some welly with a great cameo... oh out. Perishes hitting out and whereas Kent rode their luck we haven't. A five fer for Gilchrist and 36 for Hurst. 83-9.
 
All out, God what a fiasco, follow or nay? Williams out for 6. 92 ao ffs.

Maybe wishful thinking but I think Kent have made a big mistake here . . . . the conditions are getting better and the sun is supposed to be shining tomorrow. Then they will be batting last against two top class spinners.

We just need these two excellent openers to get a good start . . . now that's the kiss of death :) 🌹

Lancashire suddenly batting like they should have done in the first place. Funny old game innit.
 
Once again Bohannan flatters to decieve, looked fantastic (and he is) but out for 31. Hopefully Jennings is in for the long haul 40 no.
 
And Jennings goes, inevitably, and even more more inevitably stumped bowled Parky. Missing link is better at this than I. Nightwatchman is Williams, fair call.
 
This is all wrong, OK it's the nightwatchman but Williams bowled for 1. Cheer up Bruce is coming in... He's lasted at least one more ball then the 1st innings... 100-4 still 63 behind.
 
Our 'promising youngsters' and Brucey will need to perform miracles tomorrow to post any sort of challenging total 🌹
 
Bruce doing the smart thing and nudging singles to try and find form which he does posses... boundary! He can do it.
