Just heard you can pay on the gate.
TBH I'm not sure if this was always the case but nice to know if you didn't and fancy watching some World Class T20 players in action.

Starts at 5 at Stanley Park.

Ā£32 I believe.

It is Ā£37 today if you bought before today it was Ā£32, only Ā£5 if under 18.
The cost is is crazy but this set by Lancs not Blackpool Cricket Club.
If you go to watch a T20 at OT think is only about Ā£15 to Ā£20.

Great price for kidsā€¦Ā£5 but far too much for adults. No wonder theyā€™re still selling on the day when it should easily be a sell out. Iā€™d pay Ā£25, taking the proverbial at Ā£37. Didnā€™t someone say last season though that Blackpool donā€™t set the prices and LCCC want to charge over the odds

Has Mansford taken over at OT?

Silly prices. Still, if it's full or close to, then they can justify the cost.

A similar game at OT the adult cost is Ā£20.

I'd need to check the average T20 ticket price at OT, but it doesn't seem unrealistic for 2 x T20 games (womens and mens) and for the mens game at least (possibly the womens) two teams that will contain a lot of international players.

It's a two game ticket.

I know of people that didn't go because they only wanted to watch the men's game and didn't want to pay the excessive charge for the second game

The internationals coming to the party today . . . Wood & Mitchell great with the ball and Buttler finally turning it on with the bat šŸ‘ šŸŒ¹

Just got back. A very entertaining match with a pitch which offered something for both batsmen and bowlers.
Buttler got off to a patient start, leaving a few outside the off stump due to the variable bounce.
He was eventually out to one of those wide balls, but made an impressive 58 at last after a poor power play.

Croft played well but was victim to another poor judgement by a team mate. He had his back to Mitchell who still tried a run which was never on.

Glad to see the international players starting to play well (in their 4th game ), other than Salt who just couldn't figure out the variations in pace and bounce. Livingstone took the pressure off with some excellent strokes, and their poor 19th over really helped with unforced errors by the Bowler.

Jeez we needed that.

Big group of us went on the Sunday last year, it was about 25 quid, we had a brilliant day and spent a small fortune at the bars. I didn't even know Lancs were back in Blackpool until a couple of weeks ago (our tickets last year were booked months in advance) and when I sent a group message out to ask if anyone was up for it on a Wednesday for 32 quid not a single one said yes.

Shame as last year it was a sell out crowd on the Sunday. I may be being sceptical but it wasn't overly advertised, was on a Wednesday and the ticket price was high, maybe Lancs are wanting to knock Blackpool on the head and this is their way of doing it, 'the demand isn't there'.....

Brilliant day, great weather, really good game, loads of top class performers on show and despite the ticket prices a bumper crowd, there were certainly plenty more than for the corresponding fixture last year

Edit to add: I was surprised at the crowd given the prices but it was really pretty full

I usually go to a couple of games in Manchester, so even though Ā£32 is expensive it still worked out cheaper than having to get the train/tram.

Excellent game of T20, always better when it is close and Lancs win.

Run rate could be vitally important this year. There are 6 teams on 8 points and 2 on 6 points with Lancs in 4th position having played more games than anyone else

LCCC set the prices.
I was told last night that the price that was set was due to there being two games plus the cost of setting up the ground.
Around 1000 watched the ladies game and the overall attendance was in excess of 3000.
Personally I thought the price was too high even with the international players that were on show.
That said, it was a well organised event and a good drink was has. šŸ˜šŸŗ

Once this new ground opens at Preston, whenever that is, will that be the end of Lancs connection with Stanley Park?

Apparently not.
It's more for ladies and age related cricket I'm told.
I would wait and see on that one.

Lancs have a history of falling out with outgrounds (currently itā€™s Liverpool on the naughty step but they have had issues with both Blackpool and Southport in the past)

So yes the second ground will certainly be used for womenā€™s cricket, but I wouldnā€™t rule out it being used for 4 day menā€™s county games. Lancs seem to be keen on pointing out the ā€œcostā€ of moving games when in reality they are massively gaining by simultaneously staging gigs at OT. With a second ground they could avoid the ā€œcostā€ and still get the gig income.

Womenā€™s centre of excellence, but Looks like there will be some games there, ā€œ The aim is to establish a new year-round facility, which would host a number of menā€™s and womenā€™s competitive matches each year when Emirates Old Trafford is unavailableā€.
