IMG_20210630_210755~2.jpgIMG_20210630_210755~2.jpgThis is a positive lateral flow test showing that my grandsons Fruit Shoot has COVID19. WTF is going on with all this? I have totally changed my views on all this and now think they are really having us over but for what reason?

They essentially just break the test it’s not a positive result!!

You’re advised not to eat and drink anything within half an hour of performing a test, let alone not to tip a drink on it 😂

The LF tests are accurate..

A relative of mine has been involved with a monitoring exercise at work where they have done LF testing alongside PCR tests for comparison purposes…After several hundred tests, the LF have a 100 % record of the same results.

Maybe when you get an appointment to have the test with people who should be "in the know" yet they tell you nothing about what you've just said - just maybe there is a problem with the results and all the false positives.

Yes, the people you get your test off should be in the know.

If you’re doing a LF test, then you should be given a full kit (for starters) and not just a single test.

If you do get a full kit, then it will contain a set of instructions.

Sorry for being a condescending tit, but I can’t help but find it quite ironic that someone has posted an o/p slagging off the tests without actually having read the instructions on how to use them 😂

Ok that's fine not reading instructions fair enough but people administrating these tests should be making people aware of these instructions and NOT letting the tests be done without adhering to said instructions. Just how many false positive tests have been reported as Covid positive before doing a PCR test? And how many of these false positives are being reported by the media as Covid cases? Things do not add up.

When you do the test properly you use a PH regulator (the liquid that you put into the tube to mix with your saliva). That regulator is a vital part of the test..

So as long as you perform the test properly eating or drinking is unlikely to give a false positive…. It may just give a failed result…

Obviously some idiots might have used coke or fruit shoots to break the test and reported that, but I doubt it’s significant and you’re supposed to follow up with a PCR in any case.

If you look at other supporting data, like random sampling and the independent C19 app, they also support the current number of positives…. So in fairness things do add up… It’s just that a few kids have had a craze of pouring drinks into tests to break them…

I suppose it depends on how these LFT's pick up elements of the Coronavirus, & there will be many tests of all types that you can kid by substituting what should be used, by using something else. I can only say they worked for us recently & what we thought were a colds initially, definitely weren't. This was backed up by the PCR tests, but I had realised whilst waiting for the results, as suddenly I couldn't smell anything, followed by taste, even an Indian tasted of nothing & could have been a rice pudding for what I knew.

Due to a lack of instructions, I took an anal swab and mixed into my spag bol. I'm negative for COVID, but the family now has dysentery. Is it any wonder there's no trust in the government?
An easy mistake to make... Many of my 'Hippy Mates' or as I prefer tp call them these days 'The Alternative Community', have been using Divining Rods and/or Crystals in order to detect the virus, with a remarkable success rate. They have a long history of dissentery apparently..

Yes let’s blame the messenger and give fodder to the anti vacs...it is quite clear in the instructions about food and drink and also on the packaging to say please read and understand the instructions before taking the test.

Few weeks ago freedom day got delayed until 19th July because there were about 7,000 new infections a day. Now, with over 20,000 new cases each day, it seems it’s not in the Government plans to delay "freedom day" beyond July 19th.

You might as well test Fruit Shoots and Llama’s because it’s not going to matter any more after that is it!

That’s not actually true though…

Nah I just make stuff up like that, everyone is at it, you know, back an employee one day, say case closed, accept their resignation next day and then claim I acted decisively etc. - bullshitting is the new norm you know.

If you're doing it yourself it's a self cert process so the bigger risk is surely people not wanting to believe the results - or reporting a negative when the test returns a positive. Especially if they have an "unmissable" appointment to attend - a celebration, a concert or a football match for instance. I could see people convincing themselves it's OK doing this if they feel OK (or even not) as "everyone's vaccinated now" etc, missing the point that knock on impacts could and will still be lifechanging for some.
