Latest audit of downsides and upsides of brexit

I didn't listen to either campaign, both were very poor. I did my own research, isn't that part of the issue that we have voters incapable of doing this?
You didn't listen to either yet you know both were poor ? who told you your mum.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the very first brand new free trade agreement has been reached... just 5 years after the vote. All previous ones were rehashes of existing EU agreements we already had.

It's with with Australia. Now don't get too giddy because we look set to lose 4% of GDP by 2035 due to being out of the EU whilst this agreement only hopes to claw back a measly 0.08% by then. Ouch.

I particularly enjoyed our Trade Secretary saying "Australia sends about 70% of its beef and sheep meat to the Asia-Pacific markets. They're closer for them and they get great prices." Oh, you mean similar to how we used to trade with our close markets in the EU? What a great idea.

One of the things that I hated early on was the way we voted for a common market and bit by bit, it slowly merged into a political union by stealth, to the people at least.

It's what they always wanted and we never wanted that. That sly plan to get us in and there was only ever one goal.

People didn't vote for that.

There's no point being a part of a block where we're constantly pulling in the other direction of.

If staunch remainers were honest and said that's what it is maybe some might have had more respect for them, but instead they pretend that's not correct.

Just one reason I've never like being in the EU as ever closer union just wasn't wanted by a huge majority.

For many remainers it was always about reforming it, which will never happen, which tells you even remainers knew it wasn't working.

It's akin to staying in a relationship when your pulling in different directions hoping the person who will never change will change.

At least were not holding back their project now and they can do what they want and we are free to do what we want.

Its upto us to make a success of it, winners and losers in all types of situation.

I like how you try and offset the good news with another forecast that are very rarely correct.

It's good news, don't be so bitter.

It took time as things take time and not sure if you've noticed but in a pandemic priorities change.

They've offered more than they ever have before.
