Latest from BFC on procedures for Saturday

... and to avoid clicking ..

lackpool Football Club can now confirm the implementation of the Government’s Plan B protocols, which are set to come into force from the Peterborough United match onwards.

COVID-19 Certification is now mandatory for entry into settings where large crowds gather – including unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees.

As a result, supporters aged 18 and over will need to be prepared to show evidence of COVID-19 Certification – either a COVID Pass or negative lateral flow test result – to enter stadiums where this applies.

Proof of Vaccination:

Supporters are required to have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to attending a match in order to be eligible for a COVID pass. The booster jab is not a current requirement for proof at this time.

The easiest way to provide proof of vaccination is by using the NHS COVID Pass on your mobile phone, accessed via the NHS App, which can be downloaded on Apple Store or Google Play .

The Club is strongly advising fans to save the COVID pass to your digital wallet, download a PDF copy to your phone or print a hard copy before you head to the game. Please note that this will need to be updated every 30 days*

ID will also be required to match the name on your COVID pass. This can be your season card or match ticket.

If you do not have access to a mobile device, you can request a printed version from the NHS.

*If you have not confirmed your ID on the NHS app, this will only be valid for 2 days.

Lateral Flow Testing:

A negative lateral flow test result will be permissible should you be unable to provide a COVID pass.

The lateral flow test must be taken within 48 hours of kick-off (ideally 12 hours before) and the result must have been submitted via the NHS reporting procedures inside the test kit. A text message or email confirmation of a negative test result must be presented on entry to the stadium as evidence. The physical test itself will not be accepted.

If the test returns a positive result, then you must NOT attend and follow the correct procedures as advised by the Government and NHS.

Medical Exemption:

There are a small number of exemptions for individuals who have a medical reason which means they should not be vaccinated, and in some cases should not test either.

In this instance, you can use the NHS COVID Pass as a vaccinated person would.

Further information can be found here.

Attending matches at Bloomfield Road:

Supporters attending matches at Bloomfield Road are encouraged to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the game getting underway, given the checks that will now be in place. Please be aware that the EFL has advised that kick-offs will not be delayed.

Turnstiles at the stadium open 90 minutes before kick-off, with the Club to operate barriered walkways on the approach to entry points, which is where the necessary COVID pass checks will take place.

Once inside the stadium, supporters over the age of 11 are advised that face coverings are required in indoor settings, including the stadium concourse and when moving around hospitality areas, unless medically exempt. You do not need to wear a face covering when eating, drinking or sitting in your seat.

Please note: the Club is now opting not to launch the Heineken Experience for its upcoming matches, however sit-down hospitality options remain available to purchase in Club Matthews and Club 1953. Those with Heineken Experience bookings will be contacted separately.

The health and safety of everybody attending a match at Bloomfield Road is of paramount importance. We appreciate your co-operation in working with us to adhere to these new requirements.

Be prepared:

  • Ensure you have a valid form of COVID certification in your possession before you leave for the ground.
  • The best form of Certification is the COVID pass. You can download the COVID digital pass using the designated NHS App or to your wallet or camera roll in case there is no signal. Please do this prior to attending the stadium.
  • Bring your original printed NHS COVID Pass on the day of the fixture if you are unable to use the digital version.
  • A negative Lateral Flow test result within 48 hours of the match (ideally 12 hours) will be permissible should you be unable to provide a COVID pass.
  • Make sure your passes are easily accessible to ensure efficiency and speed of access when approaching the checkpoints and turnstiles.

Will there be 10,000 there on Saturday? Can’t see it personally so is this gonna be a waste of time?
Mosser I’m not sure if you arrive at half two and tell the Secuity persons that you didn’t update your pass cos there is no chance of getting 10k in a week before Christmas that you will allowed access to the ground…. but good luck 😎😉
